    Brexit, for once some facts.

The political parties choose the candidates. That political parties seem a little out of touch with what the people want is our current state of affairs. The other day it was said that trade unions, despite all the good they have done in the past, also seem out of touch with the reality of...

Yes of course the EU could say that lists have to be representative of the voting population so there should be slightly more than 50% of women and there should be 15% from the different ethnic groups making up the French population. Many countries would only send Europeans because they have no...

Political parties in member countries have to put those people on their lists at election time. That has nothing to do with the EU.

I haven't had the right to vote since I was 21. I would probably classify as "independent external observer" with historical ties to the UK (northern bit that wants out) and living by choice in the EU. No wonder I act confused from time to time...

I would say the day it only charges to 41v it has had it's time. My bottle battery only charges to about 41.2v these days so I only use it in parallel with 10 Ah of LiPo and since I started doing that it is pretty stable.

Jacques Gounon, the chief executive of Eurotunnel’s parent company, has said the awarding of the ferry operator contracts was “distortionary and anti-competitive” and would be a “unilateral breach not only of the concession agreement with Eurotunnel, but more widely of existing competition and...

    Bike horns

Tried zound, too loud for cycle paths and one more thing to have to think about pumping air into before leaving home on a whim. I have a ding bell which I use on quiet paths and with people who aren't on the phone/headphones. When I get serious about my lighting I might try the b+m electric...

    Bike horns

I'm using a cheap one from China which I bought at a LBS. I wanted the double barrelled one but he didn't recommend it, said they break very easily and he also warned me against the bendy one which doesn't get enough air from the bulb to be any use.

If they are electric the cost of shipping will make up a lesser percentage of the sales price. China only wants electric - Japan is closer to China than the EU. Many EU countries have a very short delay before going all electric for new cars.

Now how in the name of heaven did you deduce that from the story of my brother? Nothing bad happened to me there, the weather almost killed me, a guy in a pub in the East End tried to smash my face in with an empty pint mug (punk concert so pretty much normal). I quite enjoyed some bits. I did...
