Best LEGAL 250 w hub motor for hills for DIY

I don't mind either way. I do like a QR rear wheel though, makes getting the 700C bike in the rear of a Toyota Yaris in an emergency a piece of cake (both wheels off). I also chose my mid-drive with external controller because I read a lot...

What to look for in a bike for Bafang

Nice looking bike just missing the fairing so that you can get all the speed you want from the BBSHD... The BBSHD is a motocross motor, you don't need that kind of power on a road bike, a BBS02 is plenty enough, even my "250 W" GSM gets me to 45 km/h (28 m.p.h.) on the flat with a 36 V battery...

    Schwalbe Marathon Plus

You don't want to ride any Schwalbe tyre in the rain the first couple of times out, I don't remember having that problem with the Michelins. I swear by Big Bens (Plus or regular) which have just enough tread, they are s-pedelec certified and offer the next level of protection down from the...

What to look for in a bike for Bafang

Any bike with a nice uncomplicated BB area. If you have bumps and bends and miscellaneous tubes you might be able to fit one. 68 mm long BB. You won't need more than a 350 W BBS02 unless you are into motocross.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

    1. Outstanding budget commitments The EU Budget operates through a multi-annual spending structure, which means projects are paid for over a period of several years. As a result, EU Budget payments are back-loaded and many will be paid out post-Brexit. For example, a key element of EU spending...

Yes I have a Mxus kit from them. It was the cheapest option (kit + shipping) available to me at that time. Woosh may be a bit cheaper now. Service? Yes they answered my questions in a timely manner.

sugestions for good quality warm beanie type hats please?

Disclaimer: my brother sells merino and possum blend beanies they are way too hot for me! Like Eddie I prefer the microfibre tube which you can wear several ways and with or without a helmet. I have a pure wool dockers cap and the two combined cover all the bits that need covering. And when it...

    Bosch make a DD hub-motor

I still prefer the Zero despite it costing 5 times the price. It goes faster and has twice the range (in standard configuration, much more with battery options which make it cost 6x as much...).

    Chainring offset options for BBS02B

Yep I have a Shimano 32 and a Truvativ 42 on mine (104 BCD) for the moment. When I move it to the trike I will put a 48 big ring on, also thought about going to a compact road double and a 130 BCD.

Do I have to fit all the sensors in my kit?

PAS is really useful, brake levers less so with a modern hub motor but can be useful with a throttle (in case it sticks open).
