    Suspension Seatposts

Yeah I think riding style might have quite a bit to do with spring strength too. The springs are 7.20 € so it isn't really a show stopper having 2.

    Suspension Seatposts

27.2, 30.9 and 31.6 mm seat posts standard you can find shims for other exotic sizes. You will want a hard spring until you lose 15 kg then a medium will do the job.

    Suspension Seatposts

It is a great product and yes you are correct you just need the correct diameter for your seat tube. There are various spring strengths depending on your weight. About Normal Weight Tony :D

    Brexit, for once some facts.

France would dig up the General De Gaulle, explain the situation and he would vote against all the while muttering "Je vous l'avez dit !" :D

    independent e bike technician

If I was commuting I would have two bikes. To afford two bikes I would do two conversions myself. The step down from that would be one bike and a couple of wheels with hub motors and a spare controller or two.

    Chainring offset options for BBS02B

No I use a precialps.com one. More expensive but arrives the next day in an enveloppe, maybe the day after next in the UK. Oh and it weighs 52 grams not 220 g...

Urgent (!) Safety Recall on car

I got to get in the drivers seat when my legs were long enough to push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor. I learnt the road code from a book I got from the public library. I passed my test in a Land Rover SWB flat bed with the famous 2.25 litre petrol engin that was good for about 2-3...

Bbs01 power cutting in out at startup

China is pretty flat, these are probably the settings that work there. Some of the better sellers reprogram the motor with optimum settings - em3ev.com for example.

Dawes Sonoran conversion - complete novice at ebikes

Basically it should just plug in and work out of the box. You need to set the wheel size, units (km or miles) and the cut off speed (all of mine have been set to 72 km/h). There is usually no need to go into the deeper setting level. If there is ask your questions here and we will walk you...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

This whole "we are 13% so we don't have our say" is getting a bit boring. The UK has lost any credibility or influence it could have had in EU governance by not electing hard working honest MEPs. They are the voice of the UK people in the EU parliament and if they aren't participating well tough...

    Skidding on leaves

I destroyed a Smart (car) on a heady mix of autumn leaves and aviation fuel. I also had another moment on aviation fuel in a roundabout near the local airport, it doesn't mix well with water, even light drizzle. I went half way round the roundabout looking at the car which was following me...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I bet that there are people in the City of London that don't agree with you on that point. If you are right then adieu financial services, the EU doesn't need London as a clearing house... Hey a win win situation!

    Winter gloves

When I was riding scooters and motorbikes I used inner ski gloves under motorbike gloves. The ski gloves are made of some synthetic fibre that seems to get an electrostatic charge, feels very weird at first but sometimes too warm to be comfortable. Silk gloves would probably be the luxury...

Taking metal from LH crank for PAS?

It is a question that has been going through my mind: The narrow part of the square taper is of course on the external side of the crank arm?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

When I was a kid there were still plenty of BSAs, Triumphs and Nortons about, my neighbour had a BSA Bantam that I drooled over. Then the Honda and Kawasaki four strokes arrived on the scene and they vanished from general use only to be used by the bike gangs. Now that is what I call a motor...

Tonsheng tsdz2 fitted to old Dawes hybrid

Glad you are having fun! The problem with gears and mid-drive motors is that you can up the gearing by about 3 gears but then you are in trouble if you run out of battery. It is hard to find a reasonable compromise. I am experimenting with a wide range cassette ATM knowing that the bottom gear...

    Bafang 750 dual chainring problem

You need a direct mount derailleur and a problem solvers direct mount adaptor for a fat bike BB. Second problem the number of teeth, the only derailleur that will handle up to 16 teeth is a Sora road derailleur the one that works with a 50-34 road compact chainset. And yep you guessed they only...
