Good choice, the bike should pay for it's self very quickly if you ride most days. Even if you upgrade in future to another ebike having Oxygen as spare would be useful. With mileage your doing any bike will endup with some down time for maintenance.

Surprising how useful displays clock is especially when commuting to work.

Even if LBS miss out on eBike sale they will still benefit from regular maintenace. An eBike is liking to do alot more mileage than normal bike. Not every rider is capable or wants to do service work.

We need measured wear life of chain ie mileage till it hits 0.75 mark. This could be 1000miles but chain may not cause any problems till 3000miles, well past its recommend use by date.

Changing chain on its own is OK, except for Bosch when new chainring is recommended as well. Best to fit new chainring and cassettes + derailleur idlers with new chain. If you fit new chainring or cassette to worn chain, the chain will wear them out quicker.

To be fair on Haibike you did buy a lower spec build, which is not really built for serious MTBing. The higher spec builds give better quality components, would've probably worked out cheaper in long run.
