Statement from Bosch in relation to Classic line motors

I'll give Martin a chance to answer the question and see how things pan out.

Statement from Bosch in relation to Classic line motors

Just can't abide reading an "advert" that's simply not correct, its misleading to everyone who reads this forum and disrespectful to all the other great shops in the UK, many of whom post on here, who are very capable of handling any issues with Bosch and are actually probably more qualified to...

Martin.... just an answer would have been good. Because I know what Bosch say about you... if you want me to quote them here I can.

Statement from Bosch in relation to Classic line motors

More than happy to read a good advert, but in the interests of spoiling a good story with some facts... can you please explain this. Which UK Bosch office is this?

    Rev counter

are you talking about the revs of the cranks? In which case in cycling its called cadence, and there are loads of cycle computers that will monitor this for you with a magnet on your crank arm.

Statement from Bosch in relation to Classic line motors

Not sure why smaller shops would need one in the UK anymore than larger ones? The units are generally not supposed to be serviced, so if something needs replacing it goes back to Bosch... small or large shops the system is the same. And as shown above it works perfectly well. A good dealer...

Statement from Bosch in relation to Classic line motors

whilst that is often true, I can give you many many examples of eBike shops who haven't been able to help customers with basic things like - brakes, suspension, wheel truing etc etc. And many of these things are more likely to need servicing than the e, bit of the bike. So don't "just" buy...

    Invisible Bike

its been proven time and time again that hi vis doesn't make you any safer. If you want to get noticed riding a bike, a blond wig is the most effective method.

    Invisible Bike

all true... but my point is that on an eBike dressed casually, you're going faster than the traffic will expect. So either we need to educate all drivers that there are going to be some cyclists who look like leisure cyclists will be going at sport cyclists speeds and to be aware of that...

    Invisible Bike

I know you've said its not about the speed, but I think I can give you a few examples that I think might help. Its not about the speed you're going, its about the speed the drivers expect you to be going, and how much room / time to give you. Your riding a "normal" looking bike, in normal...

    warranties

You'll get far more support and help and a lot longer "warranty"and support from any retailer if you go in armed with donoughts and never mention the sale of goods act. There is nothing likely to get you less support from a retailer than quoting the law at them. They know what the law is ;)

Yes, he's deleted the incorrect posts, which were confusing things. This forum would benefit from some moderation really that could delete posts that are just totally incorrect and confuse anyone reading.

Stem adjusting height thing- still looking :(

Jonathan75 with the greatest of respect, please stop posting recommendation of things that will not work. Wissy has a modern bike with an aheadset system, quill stems like you are linking to will not work and are not suitable.

Stem adjusting height thing- still looking :(

You have an ahead set style set up. Which is how most modern bikes come. The quill stems suggested by Jonathan75 will not work. There are lots of companies who make replacement stems in a while host of different rises and reaches. We and many others make adjustableones like this...

Bike Europe draws attention to illegal tuning kits

you've got to realise, you're thinking in terms of motorbikes. In terms of bicycles (and pedelecs are bicycles, not motorbikes). You're misusing the term off-road and as you're selling the bicycles as a commercial business this has serious implications to your liability and trading standards...

Bike Europe draws attention to illegal tuning kits

we're not talking about different things, but I'll let that slide. Thanks for finally understanding my point... as you were my example at the very very start of this thread, when I was saying.

Bike Europe draws attention to illegal tuning kits

ok, we're going round in circles. But I would say... you're talking about how "off-road motorbikes" have been described for year, but you're selling offroad pedal cycles... and there is a massive difference in the way there terms are understood in the two different markets I know because I've...
