CarSOS... not a problem if you've got an eBike

We were pretty pleased to see this photo today, sent to us by the lovely people at New Street Cycles in Shropshire. A certain gent looking pretty happy with his choice of bike, and he knows a thing or two about engines and beats ;)

That case... and the public interest

...and like a conversation in the pub, if someone keeps chipping in with irrelevant and un-asked for comments, even when asked to stop .... I think it should be ok to tell them to go away ;)

should ktm bikes sell sclass bikes without proof of private land.

We don't sell to the public, so yes we can tell our retailers what they can and can't sell. We can and will also continue to push for best practice within the industry as it benefits everyone.

He's not disagreeing with me. I'm all for debate as we all learn something. What he's done is post irrelevant posts that are not related to the discussion. I wasn't presenting an argument or a case, so it wasn't possible to disagree with the question I asked in my OP. Luckily the questions...

should ktm bikes sell sclass bikes without proof of private land.

I speak with our motorbike dealers regularly about this... because yes in the eyes of the law, there is no difference between the sPedelecs and the motorbikes (on and offroad ones) they sell. However they and I have identified two important differences, and these aren't really with the product...

Thanks Flecc, and the couple of people who messaged us with links to cases including the one in Kingston. I will update you if I find anything new.

really??? can you please stop. There has to be a function on this forum where the OP can request that a person is banned from a discussion. ITS NOTHING TO DO WITH SPEED. I'M ASKING IF ANYONE CAN FIND THE DETAILS OF THE CASE, BECAUSE ITS BEEN DISCUSSED ON HERE BEFORE. MY COMPUTER ALSO HAS...

We only sponsor people who race between the tapes, or are responsible brand ambassadors, so I'm afraid currently your application for support has been declined :) We'd suggest buying a motorbike or mountainbike and racing properly to experince some real adrenaline and challenge yourself.

That case... and the public interest

We have a great relationship with the people behind most brands of bicycle and eBike in the UK, but I don't know anyone at 50Cycles so I didn't think they'd reply. Personally I have a suspicion that its made up, so I can't see 50Cycles admitting that to me in writing. So as there are plenty on...

    NuVinci

Thats a shame, care to help with a store name so we can perhaps offer some more training or see what the issue might have been. On the Nuvinchi topic, just f.y. everyones i. its worth having a look at the new Shimano Steps drive. If you have this drive with the di2 electronic shimano shifting...

That case... and the public interest

Good Evening all! I'm in the middle of a debate with one of the cycling industry publishers and I think I'm right, but I'd quite like to be wrong (as there is good money to be made). So here's my question, as I've spent 30 minutes searching on here and whilst I'm sure its been discussed I...

    29er are the fastest bike

That would make sense Flecc, apart from the fact 29er and 650b are two difference wheel sizes. 29" rim is the same as 700c, so bigger than a 650b rim. Yes, on a 29" mtb wheel you use a bigger tyre than you'd find on a 700c road wheel, so the outside diameter of the rolling wheel on the bike is...

    29er are the fastest bike

29er is the same size wheel as the 700c road bike... so pretty much the size of most bikes already.

Cycle World Magazine - April 2016

This very website refused to promote the story... but yes your correct it was back in October that the eBike press at the time said they didn't want to upset their advertisers.

Cycle World Magazine - April 2016

The April Issue of Cycle World Magazine features an indepth look at eBikes. There are a lot of pages devoted to eBikes. They've also featured my open letter to the eBike industry in full, because they, like the rest of the cycling industry is very concerned about this issue. For some reason...

Accident with a pedestrian on my ebike

There are lots of reasons. The main one is that top end speed isn't the main influencing factor when looking at time from a2b especially if that commute is in an urban or hilly area. A legal eBike with a top speed of 15.5mph is quicker than a road bike (I've test it in a number of...

    Quick question about batteries..

Sorry yes... bike industry. June is 2017. Its when us and all the other brands launch the 2017 ranges and we'll all have the 12 speed stuff on it. You won't find it on a 2016 bike. Sram is also pretty rare on eBikes, don't think you'll find a Sram 11sp eBike on anything but the very top...

    Quick question about batteries..

ah, the joys of an incorrect post ;) The 11sp and 10sp bikes have the same front sproket. I'm guessing you mean rear cassette. But even this isn't much different, and will become the norm, where as 10 and 9sp cassettes will go up in price as they become more and more obsolete. Sram have 12sp...

Accident with a pedestrian on my ebike

Will be very interesting to hear what the legal advice comes back with, because all the research we've done would indicate that by riding a BBS02 your not legally allowed on the road. So no matter what the accident it'll be considered your fault and you'll not be covered by any insurance...
