I find this conversation most odd, perhaps because I find the style and content from soundwave so annoying I put him on the ignore list so his bits are missing.

I've never had to do that with anyone else yet. It shows what old age can do to a chap.

In defense of ktm there is a protocol on internet forums which is to remain on topic and not hijack someones thread. I do notice that there there are a lot of interruptions of an almost gibberish nature on a lot of this forums threads recently .A shame because it can be very informative when more knowledgable people post.

Fully agree on the knowledge base available and freely offered, but I am still learning regarding forum protocols, so.. isn't it considered rude to shout (using capitals)?
Even if you are wronged in some way becoming angry and shouting only gets you noticed, not heard.

As far as I know, neither the Police nor the CPS can determine the law, only a higher court can do that.
S Pedelecs remain illegal, despite the Police and CPS deciding not to prosecute certain cases.
We have no way of knowing if some S pedelec cases have been prosecuted and been subject to a guilty plea at a lower court.
'Not in the public interest' could have been decided on a number of various grounds in the case mentioned above.
One likely factor is that the only person injured, perhaps quite badly was the cyclist and it was felt that that was punishment enough.

Like a conversation in a pub, a conversation in an internet thread will often deviate from the specific topic that was started, but still be relevant in some way.
I dont see it as a big deal.

Another thing that irritates me is people who do not know the difference between 'your' and the short form of you are - 'you're'.
Don't you mean "ur"?

...and like a conversation in the pub, if someone keeps chipping in with irrelevant and un-asked for comments, even when asked to stop .... I think it should be ok to tell them to go away ;)
Its also likely that they'll ignore your request.... as Soundwave has done on this thread.
You dont own this forum, you cant order other posters not to comment on your thread.

Not too sure ... We are all in the same club, so this pub group are all sort of mates which gives them the right to comment.. especially after a few beers...:)

Can't we ALL just get along???
Exactly, I've been putting up with all you lot for almost ten years and well over 31,000 posted responses, but am completely unstressed by that. I even work on another forum simultaneously giving answers to the general public.

You post as you want about anything you like, I'll just treat it all with equanimity.

equanimity.
Had to Google that!

This forum is an education. :)

Great word, to save others wondering:-

Equanimity (Latin: æquanimitas having an even mind; aequus even animus mind/soul) is a state of psychological stability and composure which is undisturbed by experience of or exposure to emotions, pain, or other phenomena that may cause others to lose the balance of their mind.

I too find this irritating both from myself and from others when i see it and would like to stop it but don't know how....
It's like bragging "hey look what I have" and is unintentional.
