Do you live in the Manchester-Sheffield-Leeds triangle?

You chose well Dave, it's a very good spot. From your reply I take it that you're looking for somewhere a little bit quieter? I'll try and find the Manifold trail thread to see where you'll be on the trail.

Do you live in the Manchester-Sheffield-Leeds triangle?

As Spinalot says it does get very busy, good for footfall, unless you're really looking for an area where only those in the know or invited are your target? The carpark soon fills up as he says. A run up to the turning circle on the north west section and then return the same way would be best...

Do you live in the Manchester-Sheffield-Leeds triangle?

I know the road very well. There are some inclines on it so it would give some indication of climbing ability, and being closed to most traffic should make novices feel more comfortable. The road is tarmac and about 4 ish miles long from Fairholmes going north. The eastern road is quite good...

    NEW 2013 bikes

Are there any issues to worry about with the way the chain contacts just 25% of the rear sprocket, given a strong rider and bosch power combined I'd want more teeth taking the load. Nice bike though. http://www.velospeed.co.uk/Portals/0/bikes/nuvinci.jpg

Bosch Tuning dongles arrived today - 50kph cut off..

The cut-off point had put me off buying another electric bike. I may have to start looking again now at the 250 W versions rather than having my heart set on the 350 W S-version.

Bosch Tuning dongles arrived today - 50kph cut off..

I imagine the electronics take two hall censor pulses of the wheel, to then generate one pulse for the controller, therefore the top speed on the 45 kh/m version would become 90 km/h.

    New Woosh Crank-drive Bike

OK ta. I'd missed the start of the thread somehow and just spotted Juicy bikes posting, so I assumed they must be selling them. However after looking at the link I'm not sure I could live with one.

    Cyclist assaulted by bus

Truly shocking, at the start of the video they look to be stopped, they must have had some sort of conflict prior to the incident, not that that's any excuse.

How long should a car battery last

My car battery gave up the ghost at eleven years old, it did warn me that it was failing by being a bit slow on the starter for a couple of weeks prior, I certainly wouldn't change it until it needs to be changed.

    Are all bikes fragile?

Yes I actually agree we you. I've had a fair bit of exposure to cheap chinese motorcycle parts, and in my limited experience it has always been the quality of the actual material that has been below par, aluminium that is more akin to cheese. Crankshafts that simply snap in two, gear teeth that...

    Are all bikes fragile?

ooh, a bike that really takes my fancy, I'm rather fond of steel bikes. Got any photos? With regard to breaking things, you tend to get what you pay for, and at the end of the day Wisper bikes are still of Chinese origin using budget none-branded parts, or they were the last time I looked.
