    Brexit, for once some facts.

My turn :) https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2017/aug/24/around-6-million-middle-aged-english-people-take-no-exercise?utm_source=esp&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=GU+Today+main+NEW+H+categories&utm_term=240736&subid=8616881&CMP=EMCNEWEML6619I2 Now that isn't fair! They walked to the...

    Velosolex

Silencer, the fuel tank is on the side of the motor. If you ride a lot you have to empty the silencer from time to time because it has a tendency to fill up with unburnt two stroke oil.

Yes it is, you can see the chrome protection around the motor on the front.

    Which Kit?

Have you tried 05, 06 and 07 settings?

    Which Kit?

Not the same PAS, mine is the KUNTENG V12. I mucked about looking for a setting that worked with the internal GSM PAS before I fried it (my fault, plugged into wrong plug on controller by accident). I couldn't find a setting that prevented the PAS from working in reverse as well as forwards...

    Which Kit?

That isn't normal. My 12 magnet single hall PAS kicks in as soon as the 2nd or 3rd magnet goes past the sensor so maximum 1/4 revolution.

Which kit? 12 mile range, 20mph, hub motor, city bike

I agree with one exception, the bike you want doesn't have a second hand market, all my bikes since I was 12 have been hand me downs, attic or skip finds. I looked for a trike and they are as rare as hens teeth so the price is high and the ones I found that suited my use and budget were so far...

    Hi from Uppsala, Sweden

You don't know many Swedish policemen Nealh :) they were all over my car when I was there because the lights were yellow. The high end b+m is plenty of light. https://www.bike24.com/1.php?content=8;product=193881;menu=1000,329,336;mid%5B39%5D=1 I have a 70 lux version and that has a nice beam...

That is a bit steep. Here is the list of prices in France: http://solexenormandie.over-blog.fr/2014/07/cote-solex-et-guide-d-achat.html 350€ is top money for that one.

Police say electric bikes illegal in Northern Ireland

Slight correction about France: That used to be the case but now they must pass a AM/BSR test which is 7 hours of road security training. The AM drivers licence is valid 15 years and required to ride/drive outside France.

Can I charge my battery with a solar panel?

You have been to Navarra Danidl! :) I was out and about the other day and came across a new electric vehicle charging parking spot in my town. The access card costs 18 € a year. If you charge between 23:00 and 6:00 the electricity is free! I bet that setting my alarm clock to 5:40 is going to...

Police say electric bikes illegal in Northern Ireland

Oh no, I perfectly get the point. I am being a silly sh*t stirrer, that is my role. Belgium didn't have a government for over a year but they have pedelecs... If there is no law on pedelecs in NI then surely EU law prevails? NI is part of the EU is it not? I know more stirring... As long as...

    Hi from Uppsala, Sweden

Hello! If I remember correctly you don't have many steep hills in Uppsala. What light do you have?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Somewhere along the line you have lost the plot. The EU standards tend to protect the buyer and the end user. You want to make products that don't? Fine, but that is a one way street. To ruin...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Most EU standards are based on ISO standards... Including those for bikes, batteries, etc.

    Which Kit?

I have been talking to DNP about making 7-8 speed 11-48 tooth wide range cassettes and freewheels for e-bikes to have a cheaper equivalent of the SRAM cassette but they don't get it, Taiwan must be flat where they live. That is a 6 tooth jump between cogs with a 7 speed, 5 teeth with an 8...

New member advice on new ebike please

I really like the first two, probably in that order, having seen both in the flesh. If I had the means I would probably buy a Winora. As I don't have that money I have plans for a home built Tern folder further down the line.

    Which Kit?

I think it could become a very nice electric touring bike with a BBS02 if he can get the belt line correctly set up. Looking at the large size of his front 'chainring', 55T, there may be a way of moving that inboard with the correct spider.

    Freewheel removal tool???

I got a freewheel, a cassette and a freewheel removal tool direct from DNP for that price. The largest cost was the China Express postage fee. If you ask for delivery by snail because you aren't in a hurry I would say half that price. They even made me a special one off sample cassette for...
