    Brexit, for once some facts.

I'm confused: you have a huge influx of Muslims from the EU?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I don't think you are capable of raising your standards to the level of those in those 4 countries. Often they go over and beyond those of the EU, the ones your PM is complaining about.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think leaving the EU and joining EFTA would be great for the British worker. Look at social policy in the 4 current members states, worker protection, minimum wage, health care... Can the UK step up to the wicket and raise its standards to those of the EFTA member countries?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The English ex-pat ghetto situation is pretty bad here in France too: "We really should learn some French one day!". Yeah right and in the meantime it is tea at 5 and buying the cakes in English after owning a house in France for over 5 years... Sure some make the effort but they seem to be in...

E- Brompton Coming Soon - Reminder

Half the price of a brompton and yet good quality components, if you are going to be using it every day why skimp on the price which appears to be very good value for money. They come with Schwalbe tyres as standard for example, whereas on the cheap folders you have to take the crappy tyres of...

E- Brompton Coming Soon - Reminder

I can see a market for a decent looking and good quality front bag with a docking plug for a front hub motor and with all the electric bits inside. Something easy to connect and not going to suffer from the numerous connections and disconnections that would kill a standard waterproof motor...

    Battery location

This one is very good, as accurate as a battery medic or the voltage reading on the LCD https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbykingtm-cellmeter-6-lipo-life-li-ion-cell-checker-alarm.html

    NuVinci IHG

The Alfine 8 is the disk brake equivalent of the Nexus 8 and there is a disk brake adaptor available for the Nexus 8. https://etrike.wordpress.com/2015/09/06/internal-gear-hub-efficieny-compared-to-single-speed-and-derailleur/ The Alfine inter 8 is more efficient in its least efficient gear...

    Battery location

You will find that the 8000 mAh Multistar will give you about 6.8 Ah in real conditions. It will sag but just about 1 V on your steep hill. I don't see the LiPo alarms? Set to 3.6 V for the cheap ones and 3.65 V for the better ones. Your 20 Ah (16 Ah) battery will sag a lot less, mine sags...

Police say electric bikes illegal in Northern Ireland

Throttles are on sale on every bike kit sales site in the EU even in the very law abiding Germany. But as flecc has said there are many more factory built bikes than kit bikes on the road here. I have seen exactly one e-bike (not a pedelec) with a throttle in the last couple of years - a cheap...

New mid motor with integrated NuVinci gear system

The nuvinci doesn't have enough range in gear inches for where I ride. Even adding a motor isn't going to help in some situations. Rohloff and pinion are the two best choices with a wide range of gears available but a derailleur is even better because it is easier to personalise the range of gears.

    The oldest bicycle?

From Wikipedia: The "Dandy horse", also called Draisienne or Laufmaschine, was the first human means of transport to use only two wheels in tandem and was invented by the German Baron Karl von Drais. It is regarded as the modern bicycle's forerunner; Drais introduced it to the public in...

Can I charge my battery with a solar panel?

Yes you can, after you move to Vendée or the Cote d'Azur. Forget Spain they have a tax on solar panels... As Danidl has said it works quite well if your south facing roof is covered with panels.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Excuse me but my brain can't quite get around "border-less border"... Back to square one, the UK wants all the advantages of being a member of the EU and doesn't want to cough up coin for the kitty. Nothing new here, next subject please...

    replacement chains and guards

I had a bad experience with the KMC bulk cheapo chain, only did about 1800 km. The Wippermann Connex is holding up much better. If you buy KMC buy a decent quality one.

Police say electric bikes illegal in Northern Ireland

You didn't read my post. My point was that disabled people in the EU don't ride bicycles so you aren't qualifying anything at all. In the EU disabled people have free public transport cards, free parking and reserved parking spaces in many countries if they have a car and those who do ride on...

    PAS on SRAM Crankset? Help

I made a support for the exterior of the disk from the bottom of a coffee can but love the idea of 3D printing. If your small chainring is aluminium you could drill holes for the magnets and glue them in. I can see me having to find a solution to this problem in the near future.
