    Charging laptop battery to 80%?

How thick is your laptop battery? It may be a couple of pouch cells not 18650's, just let the software take care of it.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You mean at the moment they are being well treated? That isn't what I am reading in the news... The rules are simple, my neighbour has a Romanian (EU) passport but is from Moldova (not EU) and he manages. He has brought his Moldovan wife over and she manages to live here on a 6 month resident...

    250w BBS-HD?

Can't zoom in on the motor so hard to say which version it is. It could be the MM G360.250 mounted upside down. Um... http://www.goldenwheelgroup.com/en/product/e-totem-2017/city-bike/2017/0503/156.html A 48 V Max with a 36 V battery makes me doubt in the truth of the spec sheets...

News: What’s new for Bosch 2018: ABS, PowerTube & new Active Line

How do you lift the rear wheel of a 23+kg trekking or city bike with front suspension when braking hard? I have been trying for quite some time (a year! Happy birthday Number 2!) without success. The Big Bens do not let go, the suspension absorbs a lot of energy and the bike just stops. I am...

Most powerful eBike for long uphill journeys?

For quite some time I have been thinking of moving up to 44.4 V 12S which for me is a sweet spot in the voltage range, increase of 23% rather than 33%. Should work with a 36 V controller if LVC is raised in the C12 setting of the LCD-3. This really only affects me when climbing not so steep...

Most powerful eBike for long uphill journeys?

Thanks for that! I have been fighting with this issue for a while. So I must have a natural cadence over 86 rpm - probably in the mid 90s. Time to get a 44 tooth chainwheel?

Is there any good reason not to buy a Greenway E16M106?

Long story... :D I used to walk 3.6 km to my boat, sometimes twice a day, with all my gear on my back. A friend felt sorry for me and gave me a bike he had in his attic. So off I went on the bike. But there is a hill! And one day I got fed up of pushing the bike up the hill so I joined this...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

In fact I think that is why there was a brexit vote... Okay not the role they played in the 30s but a lack of trust in the role they have in the EU. Except their cars, you love those...

Review Woosh Rio MTB Review/Initial Impressions

Don't trust the bars, trust a Watt meter... The bars only give a pretty brain dead estimation based on voltage not Amp hours used. There is a "smart" option in some LCDs but only as smart as the chap who programmed it. I am guessing he doesn't ride a bike to work... :D

    France on a Woosh

Main climb is about 14.5 km . All this sounds good to me, I used to get about two rides to Hendaye and back on a full charge - 10.4 Ah and 1052 metres climb total over the 50 odd total km. That battery is so "tired" (think synonym staring with knack....) I can just get one there and back...

Most powerful eBike for long uphill journeys?

Bottom gear 32:34 and second 32:28, I provide about 150 W. The GSM draws at a cadence of around 70-80 (must look into getting a cadence meter some day...) about 150 W in bottom gear on my test hill which is 700 metres long has a max gradient of 12% and an average of around 9%. IIRC I saw a peak...
