    Advice most appreciated

Primarily it's a measure of capacity, like fuel tank size. Assuming the bike is correctly designed, then it's won't make a very much difference to the hill climbing ability. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

My Bike is the Most Efficient

It's interesting. When I got to around 5wh/m I switched back to an analogue mountain bike. Of course I still use the electric for transport and drunkenness, but for fitness/fun I now favour the manual. Its a question I was asking a few weeks back. I didn't really get an answer. So, I would...

    Maximum Speed Control

Why do you want to do this? The motor will be wound for a maximum speed at a set voltage. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

Agree with others, sounds like LVC, so tests on battery are very important. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

    Replacing Controller

All of which makes post #2 a perfectly sensible suggestion, although you would need to use a Relay unless you want a big switch on the handle bar. What makes you sure the controller is in the BB? Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

    Replacing Controller

I think you are getting brushless and sensorless confused. All brushless pedelec hub motors I've ever seen are 3 phase, so have three fat wires. They may, or may not have additional wires for sensors. Sensorless = no thin wires, or wires not connected. If it only has 2 wires it's a brushed...

A slightly different question about tyres

I'm pretty sure Rob was trying to help you, so you might want re-read and calm down a bit. Your LBS are talking out-of their hat, there's plenty of road tyres for 29ers. My favourite is the Schwalbe Big Apple. It looks great on a MTB as it's nice n fat, but it's nearly slick so works very well...

converting carrera kraken..back wheel came off :-|

A Kraken will be up to the job, but the motor needs to fitted correctly. I always file the dropouts deeper with a round file. Takes about 10 mins on an ally frame. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

Who is right and who is wrong? - How taxpayers money is wasted!

Britain needs to introduce an examined licence for trolls. Presently any old muppet can become one, and quality is suffering as a result. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

A Thread from Phill for those who are not very Smart!

It's definitely there, you must've drilled in the wrong place. Thanks to the internet I have the precise GPS coordinates of the infamous pot of gold (over the rainbow just isn't precise enough dudes!). Also, several young and pretty foreign ladies are persuing me with romantic intention. The...

    Number Two

Interesting how close to the often quoted 7.5wh/k (12wh/m) you are. 8.5 wh/k when being lazy, 6.5 when putting effort in, neatly straddling the average. (in imperial the numbers are 13.7 wh/m and 10.5) Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

Have you ever been asked this question?

I've told this story before, so apologies in advance to those those that have read before. My friend was convinced that an ebike/dynamo combo would create a machine that was capable of infinite travel. Over a few beers I tried to explain the fundamentals of physics. In the end I gave up with...
