A Thread from Phill for those who are not very Smart!

It uses a compression algorithm. It gets all the 1's and multiplies them all together, then does the same for the 0's. Then it multiplies the two results together. Only this value is transferred between them, then the data is extracted in reverse t'other end. [emoji12] Sent from my HTC 10...

Why not? Because the DoT advice for cyclists is that if you want to cycle above 18mph you should use the road. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

Cytronex kit works for 2 revs, then cuts out for 10 secs. Pt.2

This does sound like a battery problem. Why is it only 36v? It should be closer to 42v when fully charged. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

    Upgrading disks question

Are you sure you need bigger rotors? I'm on the large side and have similar brakes on one of my bikes. While they aren't the best, they are perfectly adequate. If you insist then you should be OK with adapters (if it IS mount) and bigger rotors. Last time in went from 160 to 203 I just got...

    Giant Escape error code help.

A friend asked me to look at a Giant Escape for him. It's showing an error on the display, with the second LED flashing. Anyone know the error codes for this controller? Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

    Powabyke Commuter suspension

You'll need to be a bit careful, as (IIRC) it has a quil stem, with a 1" steerer. Finding suspension forks for these is harder as most are designed for mountain bikes, which use a bigger tube. Have you tried using balloon tyres instead? Schwalbe Big Apple or Fat Frank give a very smooth ride...

Motorists to be prosecuted for passing cyclist with less than 1.5mtr clearance!

Bus driver did something similar to me once. Then he stopped at the next bus stop. They don't half scream and yell when you pull 'em across that little counter by the throat.

30v indicates the batteries are toast I'm afraid.

SLAs will cost more in the long run, as they are only good for about 200 charge cycles (less than a year of commuting). If it was mine I'd put a 10ah lithium in it for about £250 Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

    Location for 52v battery pack

First thought, why do you want/need nearly 800wh of battery? It's a lot of battery. You only need it if you want to go very fast, or a long way. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

Custom battery / smaller for less miles

Its not quite as simple as that. Batteries are rated in Amp-Hours, which is a measure of capacity. Like a car fuel tank, the bigger it is the farther you can go between refills. That's as far as the analogy goes though. A Battery has a maximum current output. This relates to how big it is...
