So the vicar normally does 112 funerals a year, and that year he only did 84, most of which were nothing do do with covid. How did you extrapolate from that that it was a catastrophic year for covid? He pointed out three memorable deaths. None of them were related to covid, but were probably counted as such, by the government, not by him.
Not sure where you got that from, but it did cause me to look it up. We come under the Hambleton administrative area that had 9.5% more deaths in 2020 vs 2019 (compared to the England and Wales average of 14.5%). Some of the poorer urban areas had it much worse, Middlesbrough (our nearest town) had an increase of 38 % 19% (looked in wrong column)

We are lucky not to catch it in the first year as the virus mutated to adapt to humans and gradually became less virulent.
We are all different. I caught it in the first year's original infection in May. That didn't trouble me at all since I needed no medical attention whatsover, but I assumed it gave me some immunity since I missed both the Alpha (Kent) variant and the Delta variant, despite so many around me contracting them.

But after the two jabs and booster in year two I caught the Omicron variant. Once again that didn't trouble me in any way, both times I was very much less ill than I'd previously been with influenza. In fact the Pfizer booster had made me far more ill with a sudden run of daily and nightly tachycardia attacks, a risk they finally reluctantly admitted to in the face of so many yellow card reports

I still maintain there was far too much hysteria over covid. Nationally and internationally populations haven't been dented and are at record levels and I don't believe lockdowns and the like made any difference, especially when they were so widely ignored or even deliberately breached en masse.

I can't think of any worse candidates than those two. Badenoch is a little better but really not much. The winner may turn out to be Farage.
"But the happiest person in British politics today is surely the Liberal Democrat leader, Ed Davey. His ambitious dream of capturing even more Conservative seats than his party did in July is suddenly looking much more realistic."

I reckon Covid was rattling around weeks or months before - the worst cough I have ever experienced was at the end of November 2019, I believe caught from a gambling addict customer who spent a lot of time in casinos, which like all casinos are filled with Chinese gambling jetsetters. At one point I feared I would require oxygen, almost called for an ambulance because I couldn't breathe. Proof early adopters of any new technology suffer the most - best wait till it matures. Went doomsday prep, got vaxxed, tonnes of beans, considered ways of safely capturing cooking and eating the infected coughing homeless (nets, mallet, souz vide using large bags, seasoning).

Trump gaining in polling to win the ‘Blue Wall’ states as Harris poll momentum slows
That illustrates the power of social media. Here in the UK, the BBC keeps people informed. You don't have to agree or believe everything the BBC says but you know that they cover the basic facts.
Over to the other side of the pond, it's a jungle where the number of clicks is king. The truth is whatever you want it to be.

You know that George Soros just bought 227 radio stations so that he can blast everybody with 24 hrs a day left wing propaganda? Black Rock already owns all the TV stations, Newspapers and other radio stations. Can you explain which left wing media are remaining independent enough to tout for Trump?

it's not the first time we talk about Black Rock. That image you post is clearly untrue. Take amazon for example, Black Rock owns 6.04% of amazon. Not a controlling stake. Jeff Bezos owns 13.2%, twice as much as Black Rock.
Trump does not need any help. He's backed by Elon Musk.

Look who owns Amazon, then look at who owns them. All roads lead to BlackRock, State Street and Vanguard Group that all own each other. It's not so much about ownership as control. If you own a big enough stake, you can control.

Of course, if you are one of the biggest shareholders, you can ask for a seat on the board but that seat is usually about running the business, not enough to interfere with government.
Trump is backed by some of the richest individuals on earth: at least 37 billionaires who have houses in Palm Beach. They know he'll cut their taxes. They also know that they can count on him to put tariffs on their competitors and give their business juicy subsidies. Basically rob those who are employees and pay the bulk of taxes.

That's a nasty case of TDS. I'd get it seen to if I were you.

Trump does not affect me.
Trump peddles hatred on TV every day. He has nothing good to say about anyone, not even his wife.
I feel sorry for those who have to watch him on US TV. I can opt out, they can't.

The first stage to a cure is to admit the problem. It will never get solved when you're in denial.

the only way trump wont win is if they blow him up :D

anyone that watches the msm bbc government agenda lies and bs should be shot dead for treason and being brain dead morons.

Tony Blair amended the treason laws so no government officials can face criminal charges for treasonous acts. This has led to a free run for officials to commit treason against England and the citizens. This now needs to be reversed to bring trust back to the people. Untouchable peers is dangerous.

the uk government is a corporation and every part of it is registered on dunn and brad street as fact.

the king is the head of state ie uk corporation plc.

corporations only care about 2 things money and power human beings are expendable for profit.

and how much tax did apple pay last year, not a lot ;)

any company that pays tax in the uk just dont get it because if they can do it we all can to but most cant because there fkn retarded

There are trump's followers who believe every word trump has said, some in the hurricane areas wouldn't claim disaster relief money. They believe all the money has gone to migrants and they would lose their house to FEMA if they claim relief.
Trump said yesterday that the town of Charleroi, PA, population 4200, got invaded by Haitians, population went up 2,000%!
It turns out that the town recruited 800 Haitians, not 80,000. That's the kind of misinformation spread on social media.
