My mind is working over-time again, please help me out for me.

BMS = Battery Murdering System I've never run a BMS and I've never had a problem. I did have has a cell go bad but my regular monitoring routine caught it before it became an issue. A BMS would have actually disguised the issue for a while, potentially creating an bigger problem.

    Chose a cheap Ebike

I added up my payments and my £700 trek cost me £553 in the end inc final payment to transfer ownership. I was more interested in using the scheme as an interest free loan with no credit check ;-) I was going to get another bike but I retire on thursday (actually finish on tues as were on...

    GPS Tracker

I think it means it can log GPS events to a memory card. Also, it looks like it only runs on a 12v source - so not suitable for direct connection to ebike batteries.

    Cycling in Cambridge...what an experience.

I'm secretly hoping cycling DOESN'T take off in Blackpool anymore. I've been enjoying the prom almost to myself these last few years although I have noticed a few more mamils and strava louts out recently, esp after the olympics. Although the Strava thing is probably my fault - my alter ego...

Yet Another London Cyclist Death Today

Not safely - as that depends on the other motorists accepting thier responsibilities and acting safely - but it does tell you how to make the maneuver safer and how you can attempt to influence other motorists responses and actions when encountering a cyclist.

Yet Another London Cyclist Death Today

That's an exceptional case and you know it is - like the old chap that died after he got knocked over by a pedestrian exiting a shop in a haste. We're not suddenly going to start saying untrained pedestrians are a menace and danger to everyone else are we?

Yet Another London Cyclist Death Today

I don't get this - incompetent cyclists on the road aren't really a danger to anyone else. I mean, they aren't going to be a danger to a cement mixer are they? We need better cycling infrastructure whereby incompetent cyclists can wheel their merry way with no danger to themselves.

    K.I.S.S ~ i.e * no batteries required * an intro to

To go travel at 15mph as opposed to 9mph you would require an approximate 3 fold increase in power output - approx 90watts (we're assuming a road type bike - it could be as high as 150 for a typical mountain bike). You will be looking at an energy expenditure of approx 90 joules per second...

    K.I.S.S ~ i.e * no batteries required * an intro to

Watts is an instantaneous and continous measurement - you can't time define it - if you want to say something like "per second" then you should use something like watt hours. My earlier reply said you need to apply a constant 30 watts to move a bicycle @ 9mph. I did not say "30 watts per...
