Easily. I'm running a front Mac motor at 2kw peak with 14g DB spokes in two cross in a 700c rim. A wheel is only as good as the builder, and I've found using DB spokes makes for a more resilient wheel as opposed to ones that use straight gauge spokes.

That's a good rim :-) As the hub is so large you wont be able to do three cross as the angle from the rim will be too accute. You could do two cross if you use good quality 14g double butted spokes (14/16/14). One cross with plain gauge 14g spokes should be fine as well but I always find...
