Straight after ride, leave battery to rest before charging?

Unless the charger is cc/cv. I charge my 12ah pack at 8 amps and is fully charged in 2 hrs, it always stops at at the 62.25v I set it at (4.15v per cell). *pic is when I was charging 12s, I'm on 15s now.

Better? I only ordered one to see what it would look like - need to get one for the other side - and possible a two more for the lower blank bits on each side of the box. Yeah, I'd had that though as well - here is battery mount v2:- Flash makes it a bit hard to see but it's now sitting...

I don't want them on the rear rack - got to go in the triangle - even though I don't like the box it rides so much better :-)

To me it looks home made. I know that sounds odd seeing as it is but still, it's not the result I had in my head when I was planning it. Look at my Westfield build and you'll see I'm not happy with things being just "ok".

Well, I've decided I'm not as good as making things as D8veh is so I've ordered a triangle bag from Paul instead. Here's what what I ended up with - as above, I'm not happy with it so when the bag arrives it'll all get ripped out again. **Mods - I think this thread is a candidate...

How do I know my battery/controller is 100% watertight?

It doesn't have to be 100% water tight - unless you're riding through a lake.

My reed switch based ebrake died so decided to revert to good old fashioned mechanical (I could have used the Magura switch but I had these bits on hand right away). Pulled the swicth out of tone of the ebrake supplied with the MAC kit and fasioned a carbon fibre bracket to position it. Works...

I'm not going to use perspex. Ships in two boxes. Motor internals seperate - easy to put back together - Paul provides instructions. Cheaper shipping as the "wheel" box is thus narrower. Internals fitted. Mounted to the bike - torque arm either side.

I'm going to bring the battery cables outside under the box - beside the down tube, and I'll put a removable link in so that no one can switch it on when I nip inside a shop :-).

Started building an inframe battery box like d8veh - thanks for the inspiration - they do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Progress so far:-

Dodgy- risk taking-brave act, but can be tried at home.

Yup - certified to 5% ripple - which is better than your home supply. I'd have no problem charging an ebike battery on a train - not sure I'd charge my Lipo pack though! Besides, who carries a bike ebike charger with them?
