As per the heading.

I have a battery on my Saracen made up of 9 RC lipos. They are in 3 strings of 3, and is termed 14s/3P

Each string has 2 off, 4S packs each 5000mah and a single 6S pack also 5000mah.

So it's 58v but how many ah?

PS: whatever it is its not enough though given the rate at which the MXUS 01A gobbles power!

Well, if you will run 58V and 1500W ! ... :p - are you still only getting a 22-24mph 'on the flat' cruise out of it for all that LiPo ?

True. I've not had watt meter on it for a while but it pulls about 26a max and 58v off the pack.

If I push it it'll do 26mph on the flat but has an easy cruising speed of about 22 mph.

I've been busy but I'll start logging some data but its power consumption is horrible - something over 30 wh per mile - and that's usually on assist level 3 and whilst aim not Bradley Wiggins I'm not a bad cyclist.

Those figures sound about right. Once you go past 20mph, virtually all the power comes from the battery, so consumption goes up and range goes down. The simulator says 34wH/m at 22mph for a Bafang BPM, which is similar to yours.

If you want to play with it, select the BPM motor, a 44v 15aH custom battery to get the right speed and a 25A controller (or a custom 26A one).

That's an odd config - why didn't you just go for 3x5s packs?

Because I have several 6S packs (as I fly large model helis) and I also liked the look of the hard cased Turnigy 4S, 5000mah packs, and I wanted 14S to keep the electronics safe, ie below 63V
