    The psychological wobble!

Someone on ES rigged up an arm like that Neptune - on the end was a can of black spray paint that activated if a car "clipped" it :-)

I've been stopped by the police today :(

I can't see anything wrong in that video - good road positioning, good awareness, the bike looks well lit etc. What's wrong with it?

Anyone has experience with Cargo Bikes?

I really fancy a cargo bike - I like the look of the Yuba el Mundo from Ezee. I don't like riding trikes - they ride (and steer) very odd imho.

I've been stopped by the police today :(

I think the lesson here is simple. Your bike obviously isn't powerful or fast enough, else she'd never have been able to stop you to give you a fine in the first place. I think a copper tried to stop me once to speak to me about my bike. I'm not entirely sure as I never saw him again.

    Amigafan2003 new build mk 2

Yup - and it's great! I went out down the prom and rode up every steep cliff path I could find (which are 1 in 4's and a few 1 in 3's) and this thing climbs like a mountain goat! God knows what the 750w version is like! Top speed is current limited on PAS only @ about 23/24mph (which is a...

    Keyde 100SWXC24 with 36V?

That's not the way it works. On a 36v system the motor is always getting 36v. It's rotational speed is controlled by PWM (Pulse Width Modulation).

    Test: Ebike against lycra racer.

That's impressive - the theoretical max heart rate for a 46 yr old male is 176bpm with a deviation of -2/+5

    Professional Bike Assembly Needed :(

If you're going to run a bike then you really need to purchase a pump and learn how to use it anyway. What are you going to when you get a puncture - take it to the bike shop every time? If you can bring the bike to me in Blackpool I'll assemble it for free and I'll show you basic bike...

    Amigafan2003 new build mk 2

Done:- Still thinking of a more elegant solution for the frame mounted battery box. I like Kepler's plan from ES:-

    Amigafan2003 new build mk 2

As I'm using lipo @ 63v the controller LVC wont kick into protect the batteries and I'm not using a BMS (Battery Murdering System) so I need someway of keeping an eye on the voltages. As well as a cellog see below for my solution:- 0-100v two wires voltage meter fitted into a potting...

BBS-01 kit and hidden wire brake sensors

It's as simple or as complicated as you want to make it really - just need to put your thinking cap on. It might even be possible to use the switch without dismantling it and extracting the hall sensor - I did this on my other bike, see below:-

    "Cheating"

If you've got a fast/powerful ebike get on Strava and find some hills - it's great fun :) But take some off road sections on the route, so people don't flag your ride for being in a car. Not that I'd ever do such a thing. Never. Nor would I ever beat one guys time up a hill by 1 second where...

BBS-01 kit and hidden wire brake sensors

You can dismantle the brake lever and pull out the hall sensor and still use the existing connector. I've done just that on my kit - see the photo below for how I've set it up to activate from my rear brake:- I just used a bigger magnet rather than the tiddly little one in the switch and...

    Amigafan2003 new build mk 2

Progress update:- Just finishing the battery box atm (the metal box I ordered was 1.6kg so decided not to use it!). The box can house 15s2p of lipo and the seat bag can do another 15s1p (can squeeze 15s2p in it but I think it's be a bit heavy for the bag). so 15s3p in total on the bike -...
