Is my controller safe and secure?

My controller is located in a plastic box, together with a multitude of wires, whose functions I no nothing. It is neither securely attached to this box or even located inside some sort of locating device. When I go over a big bump I hear noises from this area which is worrying.

I anticipate future problems because of this, eg failing connections and controller due to vibration etc

Is my setup common on ebikes? Should I be doing something about it?

Hmm, it certainly is unlikely to be satisfactory. Perhaps you could insert a block of foam rubbery stuff to prevent it all jumping about.

That's what I thought. Might the controller overheat?

Search ebay for "badge tape" and stick the bottom of the controller to the base of the box.

Use Pritt pads to hold the controller still.
