Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000

Flecc, "Common sense"and "Two parties working in co-operation", I couldn't agree with you more. Unfortuntely, as a consumer making a purchase, one of the first things we often ignore/cannot understand are terms and conditions - where's the common sense in that? Quite rightly, a retailer must...

Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000

Tom, I think confusion has arose between the return of defective & non-defective goods. Copied from BERR (Business Enterprise & Regulatory Reform), Distance Selling,FAQs:- "Q4. Do I have to pay to return the goods? The business is not entitled to charge for recovery of the goods if...

Electric Transport Shop - Cashing In

Postal Charges I referred to the return of defective bikes within the statutory guarantee period This is one of the reasons why buyers are often asked to use local bike shops for repairs and then refunded the repair costs.

    Pro-Connect ordered?

Poppy, why don't you email Scott at "scott@50cycles.com"? Possibly you missed it, but only yesterday he said he would reply to emails within minutes. He could not be more fairer than that and you would know how your order is progressing.

Cycle Capes Who mentioned capes!!! You do realise you've woken up all the old guys! The Raleigh traditional cape is advertised as "showerproof". Not like the ones we used to wear, ours were more likely to have been bomb-proof! Isn't that right, chaps?

    Cheap saddles in Aldi

At a similar set of bike equipement recently on sale at Lidl's, I bought a £2.99 cycle computer. It matches my £20 Cateye brilliantly. However, since the warmer weather, the display goes to pot, the battery then has to be removed/replaced (not renewed), the computer has to be reset and all data...

    Agattu help needed

    Harry, I'm a bit confused.
