    Trike conversion to electric

We have a Velo Electrique cargo bike, which is fantastic. It runs a standard rear wheel drive kit with a battery on rear rack, though you could place the battery under the seat in the cargo area. Just be aware not to put too much strain on from the off, get it moving with your legs first. John

bike storage at front off property

You are on the right lines, it's a much needed change to planning, but for now a trailer or caravan that is potentially movable is the answer. Just remember to beef up the security. John

    Sore backside

As mentioned it is an individual fit. Bizarrely I have found the (rock hard) Spa cyles esk leather saddle with or without padded shorts to be the most comfortable saddle i've have ever had. Covered around 3000 miles since purchased in June, still some way to go to break in, but comfortable John

Difficulties getting an e-car, Part 2

You can buy or lease the battery.. Leasing is the sensible route as it takes out the risk of issues. in relation to the pcp figures, £9k is the balloon payment with a charge of £30 per month for two years... Battery is £89 for 9000 miles a year extra miles are 8p per mile. As already mentioned...

Which car brands are worst for close passing?

I had an odd one last night. My normal cycle path is closed so had to travel the long way round on the road and the van drivers waited patiently and pulled wide when going round me. It was quite off-putting as the vast majority of vehicles around Portsmouth amd Hayling seem to try and peel paint...

Difficulties getting an e-car, Part 2

that's why the PCP deals are so attractive, you can get the Zoe for around £9k. The interesting part is how long the vehicle will last, with less things to go wrong (I'm relying on the fact the electrics are a JV) and leasing the battery, the long term potential could be very good... though...

Difficulties getting an e-car, Part 2

We have a Zoe,they are a fantastic car. They cannot have a towbar... Thre are loads of cheap deals. We are paying two thirds of the cost of fuel per month i was paying. Charging is about twenty two quid a month, includes breakdown cover, not tax, mot and insurance is the same as our w reg...

Where to buy this cargo bike frame for decent price?

Don't know if it's the angle of the photo, but that front end looks 'interesting', not sure a fork change would make much of a difference to handling. John

    Mud guards...

You may need bend the mudguard arms to avoid the calliper, or on one of my cross bikes I ended up just cutting one side off and put a plastic cap on to pretty it up a bit. John

I ride my bikes all year round, though I live on the South Coast we get plenty of water and general damp conditions, I've never had an issue with water other than lcd screens, resolved with a bit of insulation tape. John
