    whats this part called

Not tight as in the battery moves? If it is just that just pad the battery or mount with a bit of stick on foam. Regards John

    Tern Electron

They have had an ebike (at least on their website) before, same battery position with Bafangesque mid drive unit (inspiration for my Tern build). Nice to see the Bosch unit on there, though it being a rest point could prove problematic on uneven surfaces - despite the support peg on . John

    Electric folding bike

I ended up converting my Tern D8 with a BBS01, with the big apple pluses no need for suspension. There is a real trade off with folding electric bikes in terms of quality and price, though I was very tempted by Kudos Secret. John

Expected top on the flat speed out of a 250w/350w bafang midrive please?

With the PAS, you basically pedal as much as you want to, with the BBS01 it just about getting the right gear and power setting you want to shove through it. I've just put one on my Tern and it will achieve everything you want. I'm not as heavy as you, though I carry lots, laptops, shopping...

    B + M Lumotec IQ stopped working

Is the beam throw good? I've got a new Ixon IQ Speed (193QZ ), I was intending to knock up a small battery pack for it, but it fell down the list of priorities. I was initially drawn on the basis of the reflector in relation to other posts on here (I can't remember the guy from Guildford name...

    Hello from Southampton

Hello and welcome. Sadly with saddles it's a personal feel. I ended up with a leather saddle from Spa cycles, which is still rock hard after 3000 miles, and has no springs, but is the comfiest saddle i've ever owned. May be worth a trip to a bike shop and see if they have some you can try, worth...

    BBS01 Throttle extra bit?

I got my bbs01 kit today for the tern and started fitting. When I came to the throttle it has an extra plastic bit as below, looks like it fits between the three lugs on the rest, but I can't fathom how it fits. Does anyone have any idea? cheers John

    Uk seller 20" cassette gears

Hi, anyone aware of a uk seller for a 20" rear drive wheel or kit that takes a cassette gear cluster. I want to convert my tern folder, but want to keep 8 gears and avoid freewheel cluster. Cheers John

    Saddle for £1 at Halfords

They were on Hot UK Deals about a month ago, any stock disappeared within days... Halfords struggle with any form of stock control or website update.

    Water bottle

I've got one that clamps to the handlebars, basically a clamp that you mount a normal bottle holder on. Never had a problem, with the bonus of carrying the odd coffee or three... nice on cold winter mornings. John

Accident with a pedestrian on my ebike

I've had numerous incidents where a pedestrian steps into the cycle lane presuming because the cars are queued they dont need to look. Worst I have had are kids jumping off the pavement on their bikes pushing me into the traffic. Best to put it down to experience. John

    SLIME......

Massage the tube a bit when filling and allow gravity to help (as can a bit of air to open the tube up a bit), clean up valve before installing, should settle down. I've used slime on my bikes for years, as flecc said can be a pain if it doesn't seal and you have to patch, but it's do able. John
