I'm assuming a lot of water isn't good for ebike electrics. What experience is there of problems with riding with heavy rain? I'm not going to leave home in a storm but sometimes they happen unexpectedly.

Any advice out there?

Any good tips?

I got caught in a major thunderstorm yesterday with my BBS02 and it never missed a beat even where the road was under 4 inches of water.
It was so windy it was blowing the rain sideways and I could only see 20 feet in front of me.
The lightning actually burned a house down just 2 miles north of where I was.
I will upload the video tonight but here is a link to it

Good video. I've been out in a few storms with my BBS01 but nothing like yours yet. Reminds me, I must make up some lights for the bike soon!

I ride my bikes all year round, though I live on the South Coast we get plenty of water and general damp conditions, I've never had an issue with water other than lcd screens, resolved with a bit of insulation tape.

I have a rechargeable led lamp on the rear and use it(flashing) whenever on main roads.
The camera makes it look bright but really it was very dark and almost like night at its worst point, thats why I ended up riding on the grass verge.
