I want to swap my Shimano Altus 11-32T 8 speed cassette for a Tourney 12-32T 8 speed cassette.

They're both at the low end of the Shimano range, but is it just a straight swop? I'm not sure if the Altus cassette has been specifically designed to be used with the Altus rear derailleur, which the bike has.

They're both specced as Hyperglide cassettes if that's any help!

If they are both Hyperglide yes straight swap. The 12-32 is going to be my weapon of choice on "Number Two". Just have to decide whether to put a 50 or a 52 up front.
