    spare battery

The polarities are the same. You don't need to worry. Just swap the rail on the freego with the one on the Juicy (you'll need to drill a new hole for the fixing screw). Then both batteries can be used on the Freego.

    Hi, another which bike question...sorry

Trikes and Bikes are not far from you and have a selection of bikes in your price range - always better to try any bike you're thinking of spending hundreds of pounds on...

    New battery

Ian I'm away at the moment but I've asked the workshop to call you on Tuesday to help.

    spare battery

The shorter, Juicy battery will fit the pins at the base but will not slide down the taller, Freego battery rail. The top of the battery will meet the rail, preventing the battery from being pushed fully home onto the baseplate. You could, if you wanted, cut a groove into the black top of the...

    Hello

Clara We have both the Wisper and Captus at our New Mills store available to try and Juicy too of course.

    New battery

Almost sounds as if the throttle and pedal sensor have been connected to each others controller connections. Sorry for the tardy response. Follow the cables from the throttle and disconnect it from the controller to see if the motor still spins when you switch on the battery.

    New battery

@Dave - Ian bought and tried a 24V battery before realising he needed a 36V and so then getting a replacement from us. Longshot: Could that have upset the controller? Have to suggest a short somewhere as being the most likely cause. I am away from base at the moment but phoning the workshop in...

    Hello

Oh! How far are you prepared to travel? I could suggest Shrewsbury or our own shop in Buxton.

    Hello

Clara If you can tell me roughly where you live I can point you to one of our stockists with at least some of the bikes you have been considering.

Dave, I love you to pieces! The whole basis for my objections to the postings about and the selling of high performance kit, either bikes or kits themselves, is that those less experienced, novices, kids, or just plain idiots, may be influenced enough to believe they can handle the power, when...

    Winnats Pass.

My pleasure Artstu. I found it a really useful experience. That system will be used in our new bike, but the new bike will not be specifically for anything other than every day use. The market for high performance sporty down hills is not what we're chasing. I'm just pleased I got up...

Well Eddie, I do agree with what you say. Clearly I must have upset you at some point. Will a second line apology do - apologies for that. Being a trade member sometimes casts me in a light I would sooner not have, when I join in a discussion or make a point.

    Whoosh bikes and the law

I'm playing it safe. Advising our customers we can only send out bikes configured with throttles restricted to start assist speed.

    New Name for Forum

This is a site aimed at both expert and novice, potential riders. Whilst the experienced riders will be well able to judge the safety of a bike for fast and dangerous, sports downhill use, those same members should show some responsibility towards those with less experience. Nobody here would...

    Whoosh bikes and the law

We've recently been visited by the authorities at our shop in Buxton to check whether our bikes meet the legal requirements of the current state of the legislation. We were told quite clearly throttles up to 15mph are not legal to sell and we would be breaking the law if we did. Nor are they...

Didn't want to get sucked into this thread but I totally agree Morphix. The tone of the site has changed over the last year, is much less polite and I believe should be more guarded about the promotion of dangerous bikes.

    which e-bike

You have my sympathies - we too are based in the Northern Poorhouse, which is vast! Someone may be able to advise - our closest stockist is in Whitby.

    which e-bike

Hi Martin You should buy one you've ridden and like and can afford. Unless you have a particularly difficult ride, due to landscape or some personal issue, those are the factors - ride, like, afford. So find a specialist near you that has a good range to try.
