    Possible build using Q128H motor

How would you make that motor (or any other) optimum efficient to use in the bigger 29" wheel? (I still don't understand about the efficiency side of things)

    New tiny Xiongda motor

I got the rear motor above but I can't compare it with a q100 or XD as I haven't got them to compare it to. It doesn't have bags of torque but for it's size it is really good. My wife uses it occasionally when we potter about on the bikes but I am planning on putting it on a good-weather light...

Kitting up for the first time

By wheels, do you mean tyres? If so then it would have to be Schwalbe Marathon plus for reliable puncture free commuting.

    LCD3 P1 Setting

I was thinking today that if it makes the motor smoother then it may be a timing thing i.e 96 milliseconds between electric pulses or between phases or hall sensor powering? but I don't know enough about how the motor phase thing all works or why that would affect the speed cutoff

    A question about lumens.

I see how it dips by changing to the single LED with the diffuser, similar to this one I use in my single cree light for round town and seems to work...

    Q128C 25mph fast hybrid commuter build/ride report

Nice. I'm not sure you need the washer on the inside of the non-drive side dropout, then just loosen and reposition the brake caliper. Your battery should easily do 20miles. The parts in the last photo are a motor plug protector cover for during delivery/motor storage and a jst plug to trip out...

    A question about lumens.

So I don't dazzle drivers around town I've just ordered one of these to try, since it is waterproof and runs off typical AA batteries. Not sure about the beam shape though but will point it down anyways...

    LCD3 P1 Setting

LCD3 P1 Parameter P1 Motor Characteristic Parameter Setting Mode P1 = motor gear reduction ratio × number of rotor magnet pieces Any ideas what this setting 'actually' does? It appears to affect the speed cutoff setting. My P1 was defaulted to 215 and the speed cutoff had to be at 38kph to...

Kitting up for the first time

I use mine in temperatures down to the minus degrees and not had a problem, the battery warms itself up a bit during use.

    Installed throttle, battery life murdered?

When I fitted a throttle I also found more battery was used. I think it's because the highest PAS level doesn't go to the actual max amps whereas the throttle on max does, also using the PAS encourages you to put in more pedal power along with the battery power too.

    40 mile round trip commute - 20mph - help please :)

How about a 36v Bafang CST 500w and a 48v 30ah battery and an S12S controller, would maybe get both ways on a single charge. The CST motors don't get mentioned much anymore but they are solid beasts with huge torque and athough it would be heavy and more expensive, I would imagine it would do...

    Large Single Front Crank

I never change the front gears, only ever use the middle cog to access all 8 speeds at the rear. I decided I wanted a larger front cog but in the middle position for the chain alignment. I didn't have any luck finding something so come up with the idea of buying a triple front with removable...

What do you get for £1.88 these days?

Yes the screen is flat and gives a good enough view to let me know something is approaching, when it gets close I can hear it anyway to judge how close/any action required. I don't need it so clear to know what it is and I have rarely looked over my shoulder since fitting it. Riding a bike...
