    Lightweight Trekking Bike Build

Hope you don't mind but I like your idea so much I'm already planning using it on a future build. Something like this, it means I can get my lipo battery pack in a saddle bag.

What amperage does a car charge its 12v battery at?

What chargerate of amps would be considered a slow and/or trickle charge for a 48ah car battery?

    Battery Location advice please

This is the type of sideward removing battery. I used to have one in my small size frame, but can't measure it now as I don't have it anymore. https://bmsbattery.com/ebike-battery/676-36v116ah-right-off-bottle-panasonic-battery-pack-battery.html

Turnigy Graphene, has anybody used them?

10s 10'000mah fits nicely into this Topeak Mondopack XL which I will fix in permanent when I start using them fully. Only tried them a few times and seem good. These 10s 10ah were only aprox £120 when on offer once, I also like the bullet connectors for an easy series connection.

    High mileage

15'000+ using a mix of an MXUS xf07 and a Bafang CST and both still going. 20 miles a day all weathers for nearly 4 years now. Only have proof up to 13'000 as my LCD died shortly after I took that pic (see avatar), then went 6 months or so without an LCD and now my new LCD has 1400 miles on it...

It doesn't have as much torque as the MXUS but is noticably smoother and quieter also the MXUS bike is set to 17a though.

Full throttle up longish hills with no real pedalling slowed me down to about 10mph by the top then pottering around for about 15mins up some inclines along flats, all with no pedalling and throttle on full where poss ending with a small steep incline which again with no real pedalling slowed me...

    Small Rear Xiongda Motor

I will try it on a relatively steep climb later and check it's temp. Should I just whack the throttle on max all the way up and pedal as much as needed?

Thanks for the controller help. I didn't want to short something out and wanted to check first. I opted for trying the throttle first idea and can confirm the red/black/blue = PAS red/black/earth = throttle red/black/white = speed which as I found out comes from the motor and is connected on...
