Help! Hi I'm looking for a great folding bike

Probably best to have it and not need it than need it and not have it! I try and avoid holes etc, but front suspension is a boon. We had to travel to West Sussex recently for a funeral, and there were potholes we had to avoid with a CAR! I couldn't believe it.

    Help! Recommendations for petite senior.

How much use are you going to give the bike? The GoCycle is very expensive for what you get, and if it sits about more than it's used, then it seems a shame to spend so much. (Bear in mind that I am a tight old git). The Rambletta does give you a lot for your money. I realise the gear system is...

    length of lockdown?

This article was highlighted today on UK Column: https://off-guardian.org/2020/04/23/the-seven-step-path-from-pandemic-to-totalitarianism/ It all seems to be happening as she says, and our glorious leader confirmed in 'his' speech today which way the wind is blowing. 'We must keep you locked up...

    more bikes on road

We've got those here as well, but I didn't know they had a name! I had to look that one up, like 'budgie smugglers' when I saw it on a post on YouTube, on the Talking Spain site. Some of these MAMILs will acknowledge you, but most stare down at the verge. What a shame.

    more bikes on road

Yes, lots of new cyclists round my way now. It's flat here, with cycleways, hardly any traffic on the road and good weather. Quite a few 'gaggles' of families making their way around. Can you blame them? I think the black clothing issue is some sort of macho statement. In the winter, with one...

New Lockdown Rules in Wales .

Ah, I get your drift now! (And you cannot beat a bit of culture from the USA!) To be fair to the USA, I have followed the Dancing Rabbit village for some years, so I know there ARE sensible people out there.

'It's true, I seen it on the telly' That is the scary bit, that people just take in what was in 'The News'. 77 Brigade are doing their best to make sure we only get our information from 'reliable sources'. BBC...

New Lockdown Rules in Wales .

This man makes so much sense. It's 41 minutes long, and I did not think I would watch it all - but I did! Exactly what he said has happened. Locking people up has just prolonged the agony. Then, when I watched the UK Column from Plymouth yesterday, even more things fell in to place...

Help with bike choice for old guy :-)

The link to the S2 seems to be a load of old flannel and bad spelling. 10ah is the minimum you would want, as suggested. Do you want crossbar or low step? Mid-sixties is not old. (As I keep telling myself, as I struggle up the ladder to paint the windows). Keep looking - do not rush.

Looking for folder with suspension and hub gears - do they exist?

If you find a folder with hub gears, it will probably have a front hub motor. I thought of changing the front forks for suspension, but this might not be easy with a motor involved. If it's a rear hub motor, changing the forks should not be a problem. I can understand your wish for suspension...

    Lockdown

Ted Ray, Arthur Askey, Tommy Trinder and Jimmy Edwards - Does the team think... That was where I got most of my jokes from! I've learned more about history from comedy films than I ever grasped at school. Carry on Cleo helped me understand the Romans. Sad perhaps, but it worked.

    Chair, juicer and bin lid

I'm speechless! I've seen the same drive system on a lawnmower, with a rubber -rimmed wheel moving in and out on a metal disc, which was attached to the diff on the back axle. I always thought that was a good idea. It was a an American mower, possibly Toro.

    length of lockdown?

My response to this is, DON'T watch the TV. Most of it is bullsh*t (or flannel, as my dad used to say) and intended to sway your mind. The siren you heard in the background was probably for a cat stuck up a tree. I suggest viewing Last of the Summer Wine on the Daily Motion channel - it's a lot...

    Lockdown

With all due respect, Mr Woosh, are you scared because of your state of health, or have you been listening to the mainstream media who have planted doubt in your mind? I have just been to a large Tesco shop nearby, and there were very few people in there, and all was calm. Everyone leaving space...
