My bike is barely engaging the motor then it flashes error 24

As pointed out above the damaged cable probably resulted in a short and damage to one or more of the hall sensors in the motor. so even a perfect repair of the damaged cable will still leave you with the problem. the hall sensors are easy to diagnose and repair, (...

    bike battery no green light

has the battery been stood unused, or is it old? in either case it may require some post charge balancing of the cells and the low power circuits for balancing will not be super fast. otherwise as long as your measurement was the battery voltage and not the charge voltage feel free to...

    Technical Question

not a lot, the speed or frequency of pulses generated by a pas sensor are not important, afaik the controller smarts dont look for anything beyond a correct pulse pattern, as to not be falsely activated by an errant magnetic field -you wouldnt like your bike to take off at a red light because a...

"Gouach Infinite Battery, The Only E-Bike Battery You'll Ever Need"

An 'open' coms module is an exciting prospect, not only to enable the use of future defined codes for systems but if it also exposes other coms features of the h/w such as ble, then @Az.'s physical on/off switch could involve a $5 ble button and a few minutes configuration..

Worn out cover ....can it be replaced?

fwiw if like the kt controller i bought, the throttle will work the way you want out of the box but the pas will need enabling ;) - and if like me you find the Chenglish of the pas selection aspect of the manual a challenge.. just cycle through the handful of options until one works correctly...

    Shimano STEPS issue

Fingers crossed the battery isnt making a good connection. Clean and check the battery connection terminals, and take a voltage reading from the battery after giving it a full charge. check its 'home' for debris or obstructions.. Generally any diy intervention beyond basic maintenance of...

My bike is barely engaging the motor then it flashes error 24

well i would cut the whole lot in 2 strip back more sleeve and remove all damaged wire before continuity testing each side, If passing the test resolder 1 by 1 with heats shrink to seal. But I would probably buy a new cable. A 'bodge job could be done with some sort of heatshield like a strip...

Cheers, a few issues tho 1) i like the 'hidden controller' form factor.. ok 1 issue.. Go Team Yose!! - while not a performance ebike at all my ol ploddrer has benefited greatly from the conversion, no longer is it "Oh Damn/****/Bollx, i had better get the bike out then" as it was...

My bike is barely engaging the motor then it flashes error 24

Assuming you have the very common 'waterproof' 9 pin motor plug/socket arrangement, its just a case of matching length and controller connectors. Is there something unique about your connection? Yes you can solder the damaged wire, or wires, marine grade heat shrink can be got via ebay etc...

"Gouach Infinite Battery, The Only E-Bike Battery You'll Ever Need"

Ah-- I see once you select a 'perk'.. so circa 400 euro inc pnp for the full package. (my use would require a 'battery mixer') still a little unnecessarily ambiguous on the way there. and could still mislead the impatient buyer. Certainly a well timed product that could have potential if...

My scam radar went off as soon as they offered me the opportunity to pay $1.. the age old 'rope em in' trick to ensure your mark has an interest in getting conned.. .. But the crowd funding ad is up.. and just more Q's is it just a case? cells are listed under addons where i was expecting to...

    pedal help

Pop tin aka coke tin or beer tin, can be cut with scissors to provide sub mm thick shims of aluminium. Useful for adding a bit extra thickness or girth to things that require a precise fit, the edges can be razor sharp however .. The traditional cyclist use is to add a bit extra girth to...

while a bit tongue in cheek the grinding is the sort of thing i may resort to late in the day and would apply to the rear hidden back of the pedal arm where the tapered square opening is at its widest. edit opening the taper wider would WORSEN the situation.. grinding could remove the rear of...

    pedal help

Can you mount the sensor on a different part of the bike? Perhaps just filling or grinding down the rear of the pedal arm top rear by a few mm removing its mass that is hampering a good fit or replacing with a lower mass pedal arm?? The cheapest 1 piece pas sensors have a few mm profile and...

Changes to selling e-bikes, conversion kits and batteries on eBay.co.uk - No more private (personal) sales.

Is that just ebay.co.uk tho?? while selling may be a bit more problematic, pre brexit at least many ebay.fr and ebay.de sellers already happy to post would ship the the uk at cost of course.. ( large capacity catering SS pots were way cheaper from over the channel 20-30%ish even after shipping)

    Bms for phylion 36v

Hope your right and I have been proven wrong. But I urge you to check with running the bike from a generic 2 wire battery for a little while to confirm. A recent post on endless-sphere.com/ involved a chap who reported his scooter would run a couple of miles/minutes and cut off, turns out he...
