Ebay, amazon etc can sell you replacement terminal modules for hailong style batteries and sleds. expect to pay a tenner for a male/female pair, somewhat overpriced, but i couldnt find it cheaper even from aliexpress as pnp bumped up the costs.. Can I limit speed of HS Bosh smart system motor retrospectively

I dont know your prospective bike, a pic would help.. but unless its got a huge dinner plate motor, looks like a tractor, or is not restricted and ridden at fast speeds, the chances of getting stopped etc are low with the huge total of something like 260 ebike actually confiscated in 2022...

    brake adjustment help

Would fast charging make much difference?

But it only takes one cafe manager/owner to start charging £££s for the privilege of connecting to the power once everyone has invested in low mass batteries with high power input capacity bms systems for everyone to be scuppered with another leeching , ever increasing cost burdon. With the...

Land Rover MB to electric conversion

the hardest part of replacing a wheel hub with a motor is sizing the spokes correctly (length) Grin has a calculator or so i learnt after the fact... thankfully it takes a couple of ten minute youtubes to understand the process, and upturned forks with cable tie markers is as good as any...

At least loosing your license if caught on a dodgy e-bike isnt a problem ;) risks of getting caught are limited iirc 260 cases of ebike confiscation a year or 2 back and a small increase in numbers since.. tho that could change at the drop of a toddler under an ebike wheel.. also any...

    Controller wire identification

Further guesses the black/grey red/grey could be lights front/rear forming a + to- circuit? And now looking at how the 1 3pin plug fed by red/black wires feeds into the plug above it in the image i now suspect that as the switch? - yeah google image search ... keyword 'pinout'

    Controller wire identification

Fwiw my approach would be a google image search for the brand of controller and the keyword "pinout" Below the battery phase and motor sensor wires separated to the top of the image, you have the plug with the blue/white wires coming out into a seperate plug, this i suspect is the key switch...

One of the features of the KT controller range is the ability to use a number of different interface devices, and when a lcd dispaly is used you can also use it to configure and check the controller status, as well as get error codes in cases of failure.. It might be prudent to get a kt lcd...

Raleigh Stow-e-way (stoweway) - Very slow and barely doing any assist

Starting upwards on an incline Is the worst possible scenario for an ebike, and will stress/tax the motor the hardest/worst. but as long as your pedaling in a low enough gear to rotate the pedals easily the assistance should be noticeable and helpful!.. Even so your initial reaction to a new...

    Hub motor identification

Just be mindful some hubs have speed and hall sensors fitted others just hall sensors and some are sensorless, If not explicitly stated the number of connecting wires is a good indicator, 9 wires = 3xphase wires +5v ,ground(to supply sensors with power) , 3x hall sensor outputs and 1 x speed...
