I think if you're not comfortable in helmets, you will always feel like you look daft....but remember that to others you just look like a guy in a cycle helmet-perfectly normal. The only helmet i would consider wearing would be one of the Casco range- pricey, but stylish and suitable

Finally got my mucky mitts on a Emotion Neo Carbon, so will be weighing it tomorrow to see how it compares to the listed weight...should be interesting.

(@103Alex1) Yes,basically the same performance from the 29er as the extreme, as the motor and battery + controller are the same, but the bike spec is improved, and obviously the 29" wheels offer an advantage in rolling speed and comfort. The one i'm really looking forward to is the Emotion Neo...

Glad you're enjoying your bikes Alan-definitely the 2 best 20" wheel ebikes on the market in my opinion-though obviously in very different ways(throttle/ Crank/folder etc.). Pop in for a brew and a chat when you're next passing by and i'll give the bikes a once over for you.

Definitely recommend any Bosch powered bike-do try one if you get the chance...my current favourite is the Ave MH-7....will probably change again next week though lol!

All are lovely systems, but i can only help you out with the Emotion Neo i'm afraid... Should be getting the Neo 29er and Neo Jumper demonstrator bikes back in the shop as soon as the Telegraph has finished with them ( a week or Two apparently)....you are welcome to come and test ride them...

At Onbike we've always used the Westfalia BC60 bike carrier-Really quick to fit, carries 60kg, is foldable (so it goes in the boot) and flips out of the way when loaded so you can access your boot! Wheel scoops could be a bit longer, but seems very secure regardless.

Nah,he's told you wrong there...if you hold down the light button,the backlight comes on. If you hold down the "up" button,you activate the 6kph auto mode-ie keep holding,and the bike rolls at 6kph without the pedals rotating-there is no 350watt mode.

My current Favourite bike is the Ave XH-3...Bosch is simply lovely to ride...BUT..my very close run second favourite is the Emotion Neo Extreme. Two very different systems,with different characteristics,but both are absolutely great bikes! Luckily for me i get to ride many different Brands...

No,i do understand that it is a very powerful bike compared to some others,and i know it often exceeds 250w of nominal power(as do all others at that rating)....just wanted to point out that there was no cheat as such,and is a legal bike on the road. :D

I don't normally comment on other members posts and respect the right to an opinion,but i have to state that the information in this above post is incorrect. The Emotion Neo range are all fully road legal in the U.K-there is no "Offroad" mode or button. The only non-U.K legal bike in the Neo...

Nice looking bike...shame they evade stating the weight of it-which makes me think it's just as heavy as they've always been.

A plank under the saddle/frame and 2 wheelie bins as supports works a treat !

Could be the Magnet ring on the crank sensor.(assuming there is one ...) If there is,you can usually give them a wiggle to move it away from the sensor...if this works,remove it all and insert a shim or washer behind it to stop it happening again. That's my best guess i'm afraid.

They used to do a 200rpm and 250rpm motor....might have a set of planetary gears in stock...if you send me pics with dimensions i might be able to help you out...they are £50 plus £5 p+p
