Bullet connectors for motor phase wires

Bullets are ok as long as they are tight fitting, but they can get slack over time. I use Anderson Powerpoles for anything power related. They work perfectly for phase wires, and battery connectors, and can be crimped with most crimpers (and some care). This set is enough to do your phase...

In-line brake sensors - how to stop them moving?

I always strap mine to the frame with cable ties. It doesn't have to be anywhere near the brake end. If the bike has cable along the top tube the I do it there.

Anybody use bike rack on their car ?

Obviously a tow ball is a requirement, but no extra support is needed. One ebike with battery removed is fine. I've used it with two on the motorway without a problem.

Anybody use bike rack on their car ?

You may be over thinking this. I have used something like this: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=310481071094&alt=web I have carried two bikes on it, hundreds of miles. I take the batteries off first though. I'm sure the more expensive ones are better, but if you only want to move...

    Need help on new tyres

Tyres are a very subjective matter. Personally, I'm a fan of Schwalbe tyres. If most of your riding is on the road, then Big Apples are hard to beat. Or Fat Frank's. They are both very hard wearing & puncture resistant (2000 + miles, no punctures for me). Others here regularly recommend the...

    Two wheel invalid carriages again

Hahaha, I'm loving this fantasy world you are creating. In the next instalment you'll be driving a Ferrari and having sex with an actual human female!

    Solved my problem

The controller will do it, assuming that the connecting wires have not been removed. Have a good look at the connectors coming out of the controller. You are looking for a 3 wire connector which will be spare. If you have that, then any old throttle should do it. I like a thumb throttle, but if...

Forget radio waves. Your best bet is to get a DeLorean....1.21 gigawats of electricity....don't have sex with your mother.

    Solved my problem

If you can tell us what the bike is, someone will be able help. Most likely a generic one will do the job, but it would help if you posted some pictures of the controller, so we can check that the connector is available.

    Battery power:

Not without a controller. The motor is not really DC, so you can't just hook up a battery to it an expect it to work. It won't. Also, I think you are getting confused between a controller and a BMS (usually found within the battery). Some batteries DO include a controller, but those will have...

    Solved my problem

There's two independent bike shops in my nearest town. My previously preferred shop fell out of favour after I asked my wife to nip in and pick something up (can't remember what). They basically did this...... Needless to say, I don't use them anymore. Morons. I'm glad you have found a good...

    Battery power:

3 thick wires are power, the five thin ones are hall sensors (x3) and power for sensors (x2, normally black/red). All this needs to be connected to a controller, as does battery and whatever controls you need.

Matching paint colour for replacement fork for donor bike (or alternatively a diy V-brake mount)

Can you really trust rivnuts on brake bosses? BTW, I'm not being sarcastic, or intending to criticise as I've never used them. I hate looking at a bike where the frame and forks are different colours. Even expensive bikes seem happy with this. I think it looks cheap.

Mystery noise on my big bear - suggestions please.

I had a similar situation (albeit a totally different bike), and it was worn pedal bearings.

    eBike conversion kit help

True, but not knowing how AWG works, as well as other things you have said makes it obvious that you have very little experience in real world electrical or electronic engineering, and as such your repeated assertions of equipment being 'crap', 'bad' and 'awful' are invalidated.

    Pedals

Usually they are 9/16th threads, with the left pedal having a left hand thread. Let us know the bike, and post a pic. Someone will confirm. My money's on 9/16th.

    eBike conversion kit help

Where to start..... 1. Until about 5 minutes ago you were unaware how AWG worked. Now you are giving advice about electrical connectors? 2. The motors you have linked to seem to be direct drive hub motors. These are not comparable with geared hub motors. They are not 'better'. 3. While I have...
