    Hello world.

You'll have loses at both ends with the Cube Suv Hybrid Pro 500 27.5, both the Alfine hub and Bosch motor will be taking some of your power. To be honest I'm not convinced an e-bike is going to be of any use for your requirements, although I don't think you've said how many miles it is that you...

Failed on my first big hill

Yes that's a tricky one, go back just 30 years or so and most riders wore normal clothes, I still prefer to ride in jeans as my photo shows. Decent breathable and windproof clothing does mean you don't get drenched in sweat as much. I also think there is a lot of peer pressure involved too...

Failed on my first big hill

Actually I really should say "The bike and I make it look easy"

Failed on my first big hill

The mind boggles at some of the requirements riders require. It is very hard for me to comprehend anyone asking for more power on the flat

Failed on my first big hill

Don't believe a word Flecc says, legal e-bikes make easy work of any hill. Although my idea of easy probably isn't the same as most people's idea of easy . The front wheel is turning here because the front wheel kept popping up in the air as the bike tried to wheelie. This segments on cobbles...

Failed on my first big hill

Ah didn't realise it was Steps on the Scott. KTM raced a Steps bike against a Pro rider up Holme Moss, they then asked for guesses on who won, but then never bothered to reveal the result.

Failed on my first big hill

I'm the same age and weight roughly, my bike won't be quite as powerful as the Scott (KTM Macina cross) but I'd have no trouble up there. I could actually ride up on 1/2 power (Tour) Just keep riding them, and avoid the steepest climbs for a while, you'll get there. I often come across people...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Yes I don't like getting muddy , my jeans bottoms did get a bit splashed. This guy was very fast for his age, his younger team mates were even faster though.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Almost off-road just here on a local sportive that had over 6,000 feet of climbing in 32 miles, had a good tussle with the fastest riders there who seemed to be racing. A battery change and the lure of cakes at the feed station saw me lose touch with the fastest riders.

    Bosch Active line clicks

My first Nexus 8 hub (same internals as Alfine) was a bit rough at first, it then went on to develop a momentary loss of drive in 8th gear. The internals where replaced under warranty and it has done over 6000 miles without any issues now, it was also much smoother right from day one. It's never...

    Planning my First Ride...

A sedate ride then, do you think you'd be able to do it just as quickly on a lighter bike? I like to make my bike work a bit harder for its keep.

    Bosch Active line clicks

I suggest you get those lines back in line, it seems to me from your description the issue is with the Bosch motor and nothing whatsoever to do with the hub, so why would you mess with it?

    Planning my First Ride...

So in the photo where you're 16 miles into the return journey with a range of 74 miles left how many miles had you done at that point? or what was the total distance and average speed? It seems like you're getting a quite staggering range from the bike.
