I believe the hub is slipping, the corresponding "shock" is felt at the other end of the chain - at the crank. it would appear to be not uncommon for the alignment marks to be not ideal and I am suspecting this is emphasized by the extra torque of the motor.I suggest you get those lines back in line, it seems to me from your description the issue is with the Bosch motor and nothing whatsoever to do with the hub, so why would you mess with it?

Hmmm. That solved my slipping issues. 1sr gear to 5th then back to 4th and the lines are lined up (perfectly) then it sounds like the issue is elsewhere. Worth a mention though!Yellow alignment dots on my hub, aligned using the cable tension adjuster on the shifter. Doesn't solve the problem though!
