    Route/Journey Apps

Google to plan your routes and navigate. It does it well and it's free. To record your journeys use a smartwatch. I recommend the Huawei GT3 because it lasts 2 weeks between charges and has its own GPS, plus a load of other excellent features. Be careful about buying fakes. Best to buy from...

    pedal help

Here's how to make a gauge to measure your BB, while it's still in your bike. Take a bit of thick cardboard and cut a rectangle out of one side enough to clear the BB. Place it over the axle ends and press the cardboard onto the ends to make two marks. measure between the marks to get the length.

    carbon forks and hub motors?

The big question is why you'd want to do it in the first place, when a rear motor would be so much better. Fitting a motor to any forks makes the bike shite!

Cyclotricity Stealth Chainring and crank arms suggestions?

You don't have to worry about what type of chainring you have. Any one with a square taper will do, assuming that you have a square taper. Probably, it'll be easiest to get one with the same number of teeth, but it gives you the chance to change the gearing if you found it too low or high...

Wisper Alpino 706 c2010 model, Key will not turn past Off position

IIRC, you push the key in to turn it. The whole lock has to move back a bit before it will rotate.

Any knowledge of a UK outlet for 2 pin female plug used on Reention Dorado batteries

You won't have to pay VAT on those things. They're only interested if the value is much higher than that. Sometimes the Aliexpress sellers add the taxes at the time of checkout, but I'm pretty sure that GBK doesn’t do that from their website. The reason the terminals get burnt is because you're...

TSZD2B clutch failure. Any tips on replacement?

The problem is more likely to be the rear frewheel/freehub, so sort that out first.

Generic battery replacement for Mahle X35 system

The range extender works differently to other additional batteries, like say the Bosch double battery system. It works like a powerbank charger for your phone. It gives a fixed 2A charge through the main battery's charge port all the time you're riding. If you ride using an average of more than...

Any knowledge of a UK outlet for 2 pin female plug used on Reention Dorado batteries

Why do you want a UK supplier? They'll charge a fortune for it. Greenbikekit are extremely reliable: https://www.greenbikekit.com/e-bike-tigershark-frame-battery-plug-2p-6pins.html

    carbon forks and hub motors?

I got myself a carbon roadbike. After I lowered the gearing a bit, I found that I could pedal it just as easily and fast as my electric bikes. At first the hills were hard, but it wasn't long before I could do 80 mile rides. If hills are hard, you just lower the gearing to make them easier. It's...

    Hello

Most folding bikes are very heavy, not the sort of thing you'd want to take on a bus or trai, or not stick in the boot of the car every day. There are some that are lighter and fold better, but they're quite expensive, and generally light bikes have small batteries. With this sort of thing, all...

    ETM upgrade for BBS01B 250W

48v BBS02 has thicker wire and the motor is a little wider too. That's what the Bafang guy told me at the Shanghai show when thet first released the 48v version in about 2013. I got to ride it before it was in production. Since then, there have been many versions.

    carbon forks and hub motors?

I would have said that an ebike system that can get 100km from 180wh is more hindrance than help, especially as only about 120w will be converted into propulsion energy. The added mass will cause you to use more than 180wh extra over 100km. For each kg of mass you add, you have to pedal 1%...

Do any cadence sensored hub motor controllers activate pedal assist when ghost pedalling backwards as well as forwards?

Cops wouldn't be interested unless you're going through town without pedalling, or they might get interested if you had a massive red button on your handlebars with a label that says "Power without pedalling". If it still worries you, add a delay timer that switches off after 3 or 5 seconds by...

    Battery Not Charging

There are two possibilities that i can think of: 1. Your battery is faulty 2. There's a short circuit in your system that pulls the battery's voltage down. Either way, you need a meter to see what's going on. You should charge the battery and check that it reaches approximately 54.6V. Then...

Do any cadence sensored hub motor controllers activate pedal assist when ghost pedalling backwards as well as forwards?

Torque sensors start the motor very quickly, but you still can't start up a steep hill. Pedalling backwards, likewise won't help. The only reason throttles help is because you can keep your legs down to balance while the bike gathers speed enough to let the gyroscopic effect of the wheels to...
