Prices of the electricity we use to charge

The first stage to a cure is to admit the problem. It will never get solved when you're in denial.

Do any cadence sensored hub motor controllers activate pedal assist when ghost pedalling backwards as well as forwards?

It's also a requirement that the bike has the correct lights, reflectors and a strength test. That's if you want to sell an ebike with a CE mark. It's not a legal requirement to ride the bike. When the motor activates by pedalling backwards, it's a bit dodgy because you have to lift the pedal...

That's a nasty case of TDS. I'd get it seen to if I were you.

Look who owns Amazon, then look at who owns them. All roads lead to BlackRock, State Street and Vanguard Group that all own each other. It's not so much about ownership as control. If you own a big enough stake, you can control.

    New Project Started

No, it's my new bike project that I started at the beginning of this thread. I mentioned earlier that there are three stages to this project. stage one is complete. this is stage 2. When this stage is finished, you'll get a good idea of what it is. It's something quite novel. I don't think it's...

Help! Converting folder bike to cassette

You take an M5 and and M6 screw and you see which one fits. It's impossible to tell from a photo, but probably M5.

    New Project Started

I'm back on track with this project, which I was hoping to finish last May, but health problems meant I missed the slot, which took away the urgency. It now needs to be finished by end of next May. Here are some photos to get the juices going:

You know that George Soros just bought 227 radio stations so that he can blast everybody with 24 hrs a day left wing propaganda? Black Rock already owns all the TV stations, Newspapers and other radio stations. Can you explain which left wing media are remaining independent enough to tout for Trump?

Changes to selling e-bikes, conversion kits and batteries on eBay.co.uk - No more private (personal) sales.

I remember it well. 34 Dunearn St, Glasgow 1973, only it was Embassy cigarettes at 28p for a packet of 20. There didn't seem to be such a thing as central heating then, and student grants weren't enough to keep the meter topped up for electric fires. The three bar (only 2 worked) fire must have...

My bike is barely engaging the motor then it flashes error 24

Take the cable off, lay it on the ground and photograph it. We can't help if we don't know what you have.

Do any cadence sensored hub motor controllers activate pedal assist when ghost pedalling backwards as well as forwards?

Most of the pedal sensors that have been used on ebikes don't work like that. It's a specific bit of theory to get a specific solution. It does partly explain why people have so many problems when they buy a 12 magnet sensor.

Yes a gas grill is the best for toast. Electric ones are too slow and waste a lot of energy, which makes the energy cost too high. Electric toasters are OK for plain toast, but you can't put the cheese on, can you? Air fryers for cheese on toast are just rubbish. I can't afford stakes, so I...

Warning; ebike batteries have short lives!

You haven't done anything wrong. The problem is that it is what it is. We can't change it. You have to decide what to do. Nothing you decide to do will be comfortable. We have a lot of discussion about these sort of things on this forum. Basically, we can't help with anything that has...

Do any cadence sensored hub motor controllers activate pedal assist when ghost pedalling backwards as well as forwards?

Lets make it simple. We don't need any complicated theory. We know that a normal simple 5, 8 or 10 magnet single hall (they're all single hall) sensor works backwards when you put the magnet disc on the wrong way up, and it works in the forward direction when you put the magnet disc the correct...

Do any cadence sensored hub motor controllers activate pedal assist when ghost pedalling backwards as well as forwards?

I bow to your superior knowledge, I've only been working on ebikes for 14 years, so what do I know? According to the theory of multiple universes, after every event, the universe splits into an infinite number of universes, where every possibility plays out. I must have missed the bit where it...

    Does this exist?

As Woosh says, at 85 kg and no significant hills, any ebike will be sufficient. I wouldn't get too hung up on the type of pedal sensor. What's more important is the way the controller controls the power. If you had a bike that truly gave power in proportion to how hard you pedalled, you'd hate...

    Technical Question

Theoretically, no difference, but if you want to choose a sensor, avoid 12 magnet ones unless you know what you're doing. Just about every time we get a question on this forum that goes, "I just installed a new kit on my bike and the PAS doesn't work", it's a 12 magnet one. In practical terms...

Which e-bike best for a 19 stone man?

I think the Wisper Wayfarer might be a good solution. You should be able to find a dealer somewhere not too far away from where you live. They have two versions. One with a crank-drive motor and one with a wheel-drive motor. You should try one of each to see which you prefer. Those bikes run at...
