    The bike range question

My Batribike Folder will do 33 miles on it`s 26V 8Ah combination using medium assist , so you need 10Ah as a minimum to avoid `borrowing` the firm`s electricity .

    Tyre Blow out

I experienced something similar on my conventional Folder .I`d fitted a new innertube bought from Wilcos and pumped it up to 50 psi to try and get the bead to be concentric .It exploded and I took it back and they replaced it no problem .I didn`t repeat the exercise with the replacement !

    How fast is your bike?

Checked out my Batribike Folder`s top speed yesterday with my Maplin Holux pocket GPS . In Max. Assist mode 14.6 mph on the level .On reaching 28 mph down a slope freewheeling, I have to reduce to 15 mph before my legs have any impact on drive again , then my legs are going around too fast for...

    Tonaro Compy

I like that Tonaro Compy , but the stress of the cantilever battery frame looks like it could in time lead to failure of one or more of the welds . Why didn`t they put a strut down from the battery frame to the banana shaped lower frame .To blend with the rest they could have curved it slightly...

EN19154 power test gives incorrect and high values

I know from my days in a Testing Lab . and keeping all the B.S . Publications and Amendments up todate , that a lot of work was done by the various Specialist B.S. Committees and a draft B.S . was firstly issued to interested parties . Feedback was taken into account and the B.S . was then...

    Electric Bike Brake Pad Wear

Scotty go and visit your nearest Poundland , they have small bulb horns to fix to the handlebars .

What do you think of this?

You can hardly go wrong for those prices . The machine has nice adjustment for the handlebars , the lights look like the generator on the rim power but they have invented LED`s so no problem there . They were priced in Dollars , hope they haven`t messed up with the currency rates as they seem...

To all newbies -get a mirror!

That Zefal Mirror Spy looks interesting .Instead of worrying about a mirror fitting the handlebars or the bar end , I`ve often thought that it should fit on your wrist . The band on that mirror could be modified to go around the wrist and be quickly detachable . I will have to get one and work...

How much weight do you lose on a e-bike ride?

Exercise Looks like not a lot Enrique , especially if it flies up hills and is even faster on the flat ! These Ebikes are getting so good that to get exercise we will have to be like horse racing jockeys , where we carry extra lead weights in our saddlebags . As someone has already mentioned ...

Can someone clear the law thing with e-bikes.

Dave I can`t believe all those things are required for what is in effect a glorified push bike .Well done for anyone satisfying these requirements .Looks as though the powers that be make it as hard as possible to justify their jobs !I could understand if the thing was due to take to the air and...

    Ebike as a tourer?

If the Tonara range is as good as in a recent post Tom, together with it`s lack of drag , with a spare battery you could relive your yoof and you would be knackered before your 2nd battery runs out !That Compy appeals to me , but I have my Batribike Folder to think of !!
