Difference between suspension and no suspension...

Shame you missed the 60`s Eddieo , the white heat of Technology under Harold Wilson , collapsing rear subframes on Minis , collapsing suspension and rotting cills on Austin 1100`s , Carnaby St Fashions , smallpox outbreaks , Dr Beeching demolishing our Rail Network . Now I have told you about it...

Difference between suspension and no suspension...

I have to differ . I have a GT Mountain bike and a small Folder, both without suspension . My Batribike Folder has `cheap` front suspension forks and the ride is immediately noticeable as much more comfortable . Suspension has been invented for a reason , so why not use it !

newbie looking for a cheap e-bike for commuting. Any recommendation?

Trex here`s a summary of bikes at the budget end gleaned from Postings here over the last week . Decathlon £500 , ElectroBike Plus ( AS Bikes of Coventry ) £540--£740 , WOOSH of Southend £299--£525 and the well regarded and known ones on here, Juicy Bikes of Buxton and Kudos of Kent . If you...

    Tonaro Bighit Remarkable Battery Range

That is an excellent range , perhaps Tonaro have it when it comes to the most efficient design . I read the posting on the ease of removing wheels to mend punctures without disconnecting wires, which is also a plus .

And don`t even think about Tweeting and Twittering , that`s even worse than blogging !! It sounds like a nasty disease that`s worse than being bitten on the bum .

Who looks at Blogs ? I don`t , the mention of the word puts me off . I like the trade comments interwoven with the Forum Subjects as now .

    Decathlon ebike

Andy it reminds me of early Halfords Mountain Bikes with that disclaimer .The kids were subjecting them to unspeakable things and the forks were snapping . As 14 year olds can ride Ebikes , they are sensibly getting in their disclaimer first .My Batribike Folder only has the earlier 26V 8Ah...

marketing and sales opportunity.......for e bikes

Dealers/Importers ought to display them in Shopping Malls or in the windows of shops there .They could form part of a window display like they have done with vintage scooters in some high end men`s clothes shops . Then there could be information where to test them .

Electric bike on sale by Priceminster in France

Oiseaux that looks similar to the WOOSH Model called `The Breezer` from Southend selling for £359 . It`s pretty lardy and might offer good protection from errant car drivers .

Can someone clear the law thing with e-bikes.

Sapper I would have thought the Road Traffic Act trumps Swansea Council . I live in Wales and haven`t heard the Assembly making any pronouncements .Have Swansea Council made or altered any bye-laws on the subject ? Get you local Councillor on the case . My Batribike was purchased in Cardiff last...

    Cardiff Bay Barrage

Thanks for the suggestion kitchenman , I will try it out tomorrow .The first attempt resulted in it being too big to be accepted , it was only 3 photos . I used to work near the Pier Head at Cardiff Docks 25 years ago , but the place has changed out of all recognition . The link from the Penarth...

Fun bike ride, Swindon, Sunday 22nd May.

Blew it make sure you steer the run past the Cross Keys Pub at Burycroft as we generally use it as a swapping over point halfway between London and S.Wales . The aircraft enthusiasts can walk up the road to Redlands Airfield and watch the Parachutists and Microlights . Happy times spent at the...

    good price starter e-bike

Yes it must worry lots of potential Ebike purchasers , being a long way from the Supplier or Dealer .I suppose at those prices if you have problems after the warranty period you could throw it in a skip ! By this time Ebikes will have moved on a bit and you can start again . I must say that pink...

marketing and sales opportunity.......for e bikes

Any gathering of two-wheeled enthusiasts is a good opportunity to show Electric Bikes .We had our Cardiff Motorcycle Show last weekend and during the day 2 or 3000 people must have passed through .We understood that an E Bike Dealer was going to attend but he didn`t show up . Perhaps he was at...

    good price starter e-bike

The Elios looks good value for just over £500 , the pink one looks a bit of a lump . One way to find out , pay your £4 and try one for an hour . At least they have a Showroom to see the machines .

    Cardiff Bay Barrage

Did my longest trip on the Batribike Folder this afternoon , over 22 miles including the crossing of the Cardiff Bay Barrage . No vehicles are allowed to cross from Penarth to Cardiff on this route , just lots of cycles and pedestrians . Passed a lady on another E Folder of a different make with...

What are the Kudos bikes like?

Dave I think you should do as you have suggested and for the UK offer the Duke and Duchess with the same fork and gears as your forthcoming Liberty . The 3 speeds and no suspension may be alright for Holland , but their roads must be better than ours and I`ve heard it`s pretty flat there ! Only...
