    Pannier racks

I notice in a lot of pictures, rear pannier racks are often titled down towards the seat post. Is there a good reason for that or just because they've used short mounting stays?

    Cube Touring Hybrid 400 54cm

I'm going to drop the price on this to £1400. This still includes the replacement of the pannier rack so the bike will be fully working, nearly new. This is £300 cheaper than the best online price but I really need to resolve being able to carry my daughter and for me, a traditional rear frame...

    Cube Touring Hybrid 400 54cm

Coincidences happen a lot more than we think :) I would be tempted, if I can sell mine and yours is still available when I do.

Love my 6 week old bike but need to sell/swap it

Our ebikes are an alternative to commuting by car and there's no space at my daughters nursery, or my work, to store a trailer, nor would I be keen using it on the road and mix of cycle paths or pedestration crossings. I've quickly learnt that provision for cyclists in town planning is quite...

    Cube Touring Hybrid 400 54cm

The rack is rated for 25kg which is enough for the adapter seats, but as mentioned, our confidence is knocked so we'd rather not take the risk, even if this was most likely a rare manufacturing error.

    Cube Touring Hybrid 400 54cm

Bought six weeks ago for £1699, asking £1550 or best offer, local buyer/pickup from Plymouth. My wife and I bought two Cube Touring Hybrid 400 bikes last month from Damian Harris Cycles (who were excellent and continue to be really helpful). Our daughter is 3 1/2 years old and we were hoping to...

Love my 6 week old bike but need to sell/swap it

My wife and I bought two Cube Touring Hybrid 400 bikes last month from Damian Harris Cycles (who were excellent and continue to be really helpful). Our daughter is 3 1/2 years old and we were hoping to get a Yepp or Hamax seat to carry her on my bike, but a problem with the rear rack this week...

Failed on my first big hill

I'm not technically minded when it comes to bikes, and I was out off hub motors due to the complexity they add to the wheel, making work on the wheel more difficult. I like the relative simplicity of crank drives for maintenance. One other observation - the tone of these discussions does a lot...

Failed on my first big hill

Before buying our bikes, my wife had a Raleigh Forge on loan for a week and found its hill climbing ability to be less than the Motus. I got to try a Haibike SDuro (Yamaha motor) and I thought it had the edge on the Bosch although it seemed a little 'rougher'. I loved the styling and would've...

Failed on my first big hill

Been on a 20 mile cycle around my home town today on my new(ish) Cube Touring Hybrid 400 (Bosch Active Line motor). I thought I'd tackle a 13% hill (https://goo.gl/maps/qVpmPLmGGfG2) and the bike handled it well on Turbo (250% assistance). I remained seated the entire way, averaging about...

    New Tesla Model 3

I wish Tesla turned their attention to ebikes.

    Afternoon All!

We were looking at Raleigh bikes before being recommended Cube. They are great quality and a good price for Bosch motors.

    Should I / can I remove this?

Did you wait until gone midnight to post this? :D

Lidl work stand with low step frame

I bought the Lidl work stand today to see if it would work for our low step Cube bikes. It does but only by attaching to the seat post. And because of the weight of the bike, the clamp slides down a bit until its stopped by the 'collar' on the seat post. Something I'm not sure I'd like to risk...

    Should I / can I remove this?

This plastic disk seems a bit superfluous. I'm thinking it was for protection during shipping. Can I or should I remove it?

    Mainentance?

I've got a suspension seat post. Would that be ok? Not many other places on Cube ebikes to clamp to.

    Mainentance?

Yeah I fear we've missed the Lidl specialbuy but will check. We have easy entry / low step bike so would need to attach to the stand some other way, maybe the seat post.

    Mainentance?

I hope e-biking will be a lifetime thing so getting good at maintenance myself will be beneficial. Is a bike workstand recommended? Presumably we need quite strong models to take the extra weight. (I would obviously remove the battery! :))
