Lidl work stand with low step frame

I bought the Lidl work stand today to see if it would work for our low step Cube bikes. It does but only by attaching to the seat post. And because of the weight of the bike, the clamp slides down a bit until its stopped by the 'collar' on the seat post. Something I'm not sure I'd like to risk damaging. Any thoughts? Maybe I could get a Thule bike frame adapter? But I'm not convinced that won't slip either.

id just get a cheap post and saddle of ebay and use that when you want to clamp it in the stand.

will not have to worry about damaging it then.
