Funny thing is though..... I think OG your core values and my core values are actually pretty similar. Which means we can argue but under that there is a core level of respect. This is not always the case.
Can I backdate my response and slip it in between your first comment and the second where you replied to yourself?
I agree. on all counts.

Did you read the article?
They were having talks to field a joint candidate so as not to split the vote and these talks broke down...….How is that fake news ?
Where does the "tearing apart" come in?
That's the fake news, they were never together because one aspect that motivates them they agree on.
For example Chairman Mao's Communists and Chiang Kai-Shek's armies both fought the Japanese and each other, even though they had a common cause

Corbyns latest bribe offer to the younger voters. Minimum wage of £10 hour. Just walk out of school with no skills get a job and you will get £10. Wow that' s really going to get companies looking to employ young untrained people. The only way that would work is for the taxpayer to pick up the bill. It once again shows that he has no grasp of reality. Has he ever worked in his life. In a sea of buffoons he is surely numero uno

If you leave school at sixteen you have to go into full time education or an apprenticeship or traineeship. Apprenticeships have always been exempt from the minimum wage.
I don't think £10 an hour for an 18 year old is unreasonable.
You could be working night shift at 18.

I don't disagree with you there, but the general thrust of his speech was that everyone would be entitled to it. I think he is trying to get our youth unemployment rate the same as Greece and Spain

Corbyn did mention £4.35 an hour, so he was clearly speaking of the under 18s. Here's the minimum wage structure:

Minimum wage rates from April 2019
  • 25 and over: £8.21
  • 21-24: £7.70
  • 18-20: £6.15
  • Under-18: £4.35
  • Apprentice: £3.90
Despite the rules, a few of the under 18s are in employment with no training or education participation:

The UK's working 16-17 year olds in numbers
  • There were an estimated 1.35 million 16 to 17-year-olds in the UK at the end of last year
  • Of those, 6% (81,000) were solely in employment
  • 5% (71,000) were neither in work nor education
.

What a convenient memory you have at times, fisheremen were indeed in favour of Brexit, hence the shambolic protest Farage was in on the Thames.
Er.... thats what I said - that they were in favour of Brexit - whereas your post included a quote from a fisherman who seemed to have some sympathy towards staying IN the EU - which to my mind would be a very unusual fisherman.

But let's not muddy the waters with facts and clarification eh?

Corbyn is an idiot. The minimum wage never works - it just destroys jobs at the lower end of the market. When things cost more you buy less of them. eg. workers and jobs.

Who is going to pay some spotty unskilled 16yr old £10 an hour?

Socialists - always at the lower end of the IQ scale.

Where did he seem to be pro staying in the EU? it didn't seem like that to me, he viewed Farage as Insurance.
"If we stay in the EU and theres a chance that we may" doesn't sound like enthusiasm, more resignation to me

NF on the Marr Show - slips in small print 'cost' of hard Brexit trading WTO he wants - basically economic distruption for an unspecified period till we become better than Norway in every which way and become a trading power house with other English speaking nations... Like a disruption when "moving house" he said - missing out 'chucking in job' in as well, and running away to join the circus to live in a caravan.
It was good to see Farage have to face some awkward questions from Marr for a change. He normally gets an easy time from interviewers who seem too scared to ask him anything difficult they just let him babble on about anything he wants.

How are we doing compared to the rest of the EU? Are we paying more, or are we paying less to people in these age groups?
