But she is Labour and a socialist Tilston...
A)That makes it acceptable.
B)She will get support on here.
C) She should be posting on here, certain posters would approve.
I fear that you are entirely correct Zlatan. It’s shameful and it’s a tragedy.

If the story is as reported, and we all know that is uncertain, then I most certainly would not be supporting her. But not on the basis of skin colour, where she or her parents were born, or such like. On the basis of what she has done, reportedly, she appears to deserve censure.

This is hilarious
After being banned for not revealing who funds it, Leave EU dares to ask the Official Conservative Government if it is spending Conservative Member' money on this?

Leave.EU‏Verified account @LeaveEUOfficial

Tories post literally hundreds of Facebook ads in a desperate attempt to flog May's Brexit deal to the country. a) Where did you find the actors? b) Care to tell us whether Conservative members' fees are being spent on this monstrosity? @CCHQPress @ConHom #BlueWave

Since when did leave.EU give a Tinkers Cuss about where funds come from?
Or the Stooges they use come to that!:p

Please don’t be racist to the travelling community.

Thank you.

And BTW the lady(for want of a better word) in question also employed her son as her assistant after the mentioned drug arrest (his salary of £50k pa paid by us).
I wonder what system to ensure meritocracy was used in his appointment. The best person for the job just happens to be her son, but then again that's exactly what Corbyn has done.
Same old story with our current socialists. Have fantastic ideals... but only for the masses. They operate as greedily and with same nepotism as any tory, Royalist or whatever but then claim moral high ground. Bit like our Tom.

I, d agree with you but suspect her appointment was directly because of the qualities you dismiss. Would anyone employ Diane Abbot if she were a white male.. Doubtful.
Positive discrimination makes matters worse and almost justifies exactly what it sets out to cure.

I’m pleased you find it racist, which means in the real world that it probably isn’t.

She deserves no respect whatsoever.

She was born in the U.K. to Nigerian parents who clearly failed to include civilised behaviour into her upbringing.

She lied to the HoC

A reporter asked her a legitimate question on behalf of the public.

She reacted like some sort of wild animal.

She should go, but that won’t happen.

That was racist. You are an idiot.

I regret my above posting of taking the mick out of one of the olds for saying tinker when actual genuine racist elements exist on here.

She is in the wrong and she should have the whip withdrawn but to say she is animal like because she is foreign, or let’s face it is black is racist and it shows you up.

Everyone now knows what you are.

That’s the nub of the story. She told the HoC she had no knowledge of the offence committed by her son. Now a letter written by her to the judge had emerged. When asked to explain, the baseball bat and threats started. Scum.

Indeed, Labour's all woman shortlists for candidates was the worst manifestation of that discrimination, and the constant bleating about having enough minorities representation adds to it.

Any office or appointment should be for those who are the most suitable chosen from those who are genuinely interested.

Totally agree. I said even in our discussion re sexism we were singing from same hymn book.
Over years I, ve been unfortunate enough to need 2 complicated and life threatening operations. I, ve been fortunate enough to get them done successfully. The choice of surgeon for me was purely on ability and experience. I didn't care about their race, gender, colour or anything. All appointments should be likewise. (and BTW a male did one of them)

We now have further information:

Boffins in white coats have concluded that tinfoil hats are sufficient in event of attacks from space. Tinfoil hats will be distributed to the population. And for all you DIY folk out there open source plans for making your own tinfoil hat will be published to the inter-webs! This will allow the more technically minded to build in the brexit BS filter system that has be doing the rounds on the dark web. Exciting time indeed!

I can never remember such a desperate time in politics.
'tillson', I agree but I have been out of the loop recently and missed the tale you have related about a female Labour MP although I'm happy to accept from you that the story is true.

There is no defence for such behaviour and I would dearly like to see her deselected but that is a matter for her constituents and we know that in most parts of the country, the electorate has no interest in politics except at election time, if they can be bothered to pop into a polling station to cast a vote.

Her constituency is part of the borough of Enfield and that combined part of north London has a massive non-white population, the constituency being represented by New Labour in the form of the Blairite, Andy Love, till he stood down three years ago. Osamor was duly elected in the 2015 GE, increasing the majority for Labour. I would guess that any future political representative for the Edmonton constituency will be of foreign extraction, whether British-born or not and I have no problem with that, given the demographic of that area.

Having looked briefly at a report of the incident to which you refer, I have a difficulty understanding why she wasn't charged with any offence. There seems to be a great reluctance on the part of the police to prosecute MPs for behaviour that would attract a summons for most ordinary mortals.

On the matter of this woman employing her son in a role in the HoC, I am aware that there is a lot of that goes on and it is high time legislation was introduced to curb it.

It is purely nepotism and provides a large financial inducement - that is why there is so much of it.

Trouble is, everyone makes their hats out of aluminium foil, not tin. And that could be having serious health consequences.
