Care-electric bike reviewer by robbiedog led to a virus threat warning

Same - viewed on my Amiga - no issues. tried on my Windows machine and it did throw up an alert but looks like a false positive to me - some unusual scripting on that site.

    Stopped by police

OMG, you'd have a field day with my eldest then - nrly 5 yrs old - skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing, power kiting and shock horror - riding on the road when we go for a bike ride. You expose children to risk every time you wake them up in the morning (and there is even a certain risk to...

    Taking a Tongxin motor apart.

Nice to know - I'll bookmark you just in case my Tongsin decides to start playing up :-) What spares do you have? Any likely hood of getting complete motors?

    Front or rear drive conversion

Mine are carbon :-) I really don't think a Tongxin wil stress them too much.

    Stopped by police

What's wrong with having a child seat on the back if it's of a suitable standard and fitted properly? That's a bit strong and I disagree entirely.

    Stopped by police

So on the one hand you seem to criticise them for checking you had your lights on and in the very next sentance seem to complain that they never stop those without their lights on! Make your mid up

    Stopped by police

The cyclist was being a ****. You speak to Police in a polite and amenable manner and treat them with respect, not in a rude and insulting manner. I also note how he didn't challenge the statement that he rode through a red traffic light (one of my pet hates). Oh, and evading a Police officer...

    M5 Crash

It's not too bad actually - I'll have had it three years this coming April and I think I've only spent about £400 on maintanence. insurance is £350 a year. Ok, so it only gets 20mpg around town but as I only drive it a few times a week I only spend about £25 a week in fuel (my Lexus LS400 with...

I doubt it but you can't argue with the price!

    M5 Crash

Because I like it and normal Ford are boring? The 2.9 v6 Cosworth engine is one of the truly great engines to be produced in the 90's imo. I like the comfort the Scorpio gives but imo the 2ltr and 2.3ltr variants are underpowered for the size of the car. If you're inferring that I shouldn't...

    Lights (again, sorry)

I run two Shining Beam S-Mini flashlights on my bike mounted with twofish lockblocks (one xml for flood and one xpg for spot). Results for By Manufacturer:ShiningBeam Much better quality than the Deal Extreme/Ultrafire rubbish. Budget for some reasonable 18650 cells and an XTAR WP2 charger (I...

A few more photos as promised - no commentary atm - I'll add some when I get the time - I will say now though that the wattmeter isn't a permanent addition!:-

    Wisper Battery Failure x 2

Mine cost me £7k to build and only last week I was offered £9k for it :-D Oh, and it's environmentally freindly as it uses reclaimed parts :-) http://web.bethere.co.uk/amigafan2003/

Newbie - How to plug a wattmeter to my bike?

No need, programmable controller :-) It was originally pulling 16amps - 760 watts peak. But I have a Tongxin hub and they are wattage sensitive and @ 16 amps it was a bit of a pain to accelerate gently enough to ensure the clutch didn't sleep (anyone with a Tongxin will recognise the horrible...

Newbie - How to plug a wattmeter to my bike?

My ghetto temporary watt meter mounting. I've stuck a foam pad on the frame, wrapped the meter in cling film (it's not water proof) and zip tied it to the bike (zip tie can be "slid" off the meter to make removan easy) - cabling secured via velcro straps. It's 14awg wire - I'm only...
