Indeed......BUT 2 years down the line where do you get replacement battery.

Ultra Motor in the US is still going, and UK sales have been good. There will be plenty of opportunities for dealers to provide replacements, and re-celling services are bound to be offered regularly soon, as more electric bikes are in circulation.

hopefully you're right about the battery situation as I have a Fast4ward Edge and I'd hate to think it will be obsolete in a couple of years. Great little bike, by the way.

You can ft ANY battery to ANY bike, as long as the voltage is compatible. You might need to replace a connector and get creative with mounting (nothing a few zip ties and some epoxy can't sort) but it's always possible.

batteries can be re-celled but the problem will be with hub motors or controllers if they go wrong. Ultra Motor did have a specific design which can not be easily replaced with other off the shelf spares.
