    Cannondale Synapse Neo

Well after about 450 miles on the Neo its finally happened this morning, (it was going to happen sooner or later), another cyclist on a racing bike passed me!!!!! I was doing around 15.8 to 16 mph (sweet spot) into a fairly strong head wind and the cyclist came past me going a couple of miles...

Now I'm officially a full time "ebiker"

I bought my e-mtb last May and I have done just over 3500 miles on it. I have also recently bought (about a month ago) an e-racing bike and I have done about 450 miles on that. I am currently using the e-racing bike about twice as often as the e-mountain bike but that's probably because its...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

If there is an election and Change UK run then I will probably vote for them, if they don't run then I will probably vote Liberal Democrat. I suspect that a lot of leave voters wont bother to vote at all as they will feel their vote does not count. I do have some sympathy with them because if...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

What do you folks think is the chance that we will have EU elections here? I think its a bit less than 50%, and I think the chance of JC and TM coming up with a deal both can live with is a bit more than 50%. JC wants to leave the EU, and he does not want a second referendum. My understanding...

Now I'm officially a full time "ebiker"

I sold my motorcycle last November due to the fact I was doing six times as much millage on my e-bike than I was on the motor bike. I have to admit though, if say one of the large motorcycle manufacturers (Honda, Yamaha etc) was to bring out a reasonably priced electric motorcycle with a decent...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I really hope one day to see a massive public inquiry into this entire Brexit mess, looking to see if Putin was involved in stumping up the millions given to Farage by Arron Banks.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I can't think of anybody in the last 50 years that has cost the UK so much money and created so much discontent in the country. If it had not been for him DC would not have put his party in front of the country and called a referendum. Prior to the referendum Brexit was something like 8th or...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

That's right but what I never saw in the referendum campaign was how by voting leave it would improved the life chances of millions of people who felt they have been short changed by the system. It was easy for the leave politicians to blame the EU for all the unfairness and lack of...

General News One million e-bikes sold in Germany, up 36%

There must be a big percentage increase year on year in the UK too, I see more and more e-bikes out on the roads now than I used to. One of my LBS's said they are selling more e-bikes now than non assist ones.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Absolutely, the world has changed a lot even since 2016. We need to be part of the EU to be able to stand up to the likes of Putin, Xi Jinping and Trump. On our own we will be taken to the cleaners. May has been awful but if people think Boris would do a better job, then just look how...

    Cannondale Synapse Neo

I have noticed when going up long but shallow incline hills that I will often be going up at exactly 15.8 mph. This is on the Neo and on my CX equipped e-mtb. I spoke to a mate of mine who also has a bike with a CX motor and he said that 15.8 mph seemed to be the sweet spot for him too when...

    Cannondale Synapse Neo

Great to hear you like the bike, I think I have said that for the same level of effort the Neo is about 3 to 4 mph faster (this is above cut off speed) than my Cube e-mtb. I've done about 350 miles on my now and I absolutely love it, very impressed indeed.

Not much to argue with in this by Jonathan Freedland, makes a very good argument for staying in the EU. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/apr/05/brexit-eu-club-belonging-members-britain

    Cannondale Synapse Neo

I think when there is virtually no wind or very little wind, and on a fairly flat course then the Gain will be quicker than the Neo for the same level of physical effort from the rider (I am assuming here riding at above cut off speeds). I live in an area with lots and lots of hills and we...

    Hybrid cars

Well things seem to be moving much faster than we thought. I have just been reading in MCN about three new electric motorcycles about to come out. The bottom of the range is the Lightning Strike Standard priced at £9895, 88 bhp and a top speed of 150 mph with a range of 70 to 100 miles from a...
