Yep good idea, hold it really close as steam cools off really quickly with distance.

I suppose I should say in defence of Dr Simon Clarke, the advice he gave on the public use of masks would have also been based on the reality that most people would use the covering again and again, whereas the Health Service throw theirs away for safety after use. My tip as I gave in an earlier...

That Wetherspoon guy came to my home town once to preach about Brexit, he was lucky to escape the place alive. Not a popular chap in these parts.

Yes they did Danidl that's why so many didn't buy them. Microbiologist Dr Simon Clarke who was on Sky News daily giving scientific advice to the masses, constantly repeated there was no point in wearing a face mask. Personally I always ignored everything he said, god knows where his future lies...

Not sure Plus of course we were told if we all buy masks the NHS will fall short. I've just purchased two more face masks of the kind that have removable filters and far superior to surgical masks, strange they were never recommended.

As I predicted some time ago on here.:( The problem as always with science is that it often dictates what may happen under a certain set of circumstances which may not apply to you, take face masks as a good example. We were told by scientists they don't really work, so why did they say that...

Did you look at the second map a bit further down the page, it can go right to where you live.

The ONS web site has probably been mentioned before on here but it's worth a look again. Halfway down the page you can zoom right into the very town or area where you live and see how many people have fallen victim to covid. For some I suppose that could be reassuring, others not so much...

Regardless or not whether you believe lockdown works it's interesting to compare the fatalities in coastal towns with other parts of the country. Southampton, Portsmouth, Brighton all with populations of just over 200k but averaging only about 80-90 deaths each. That's not good news but it...

A few Pubs & Restaurant's here in town have already started serving customers outside of their buildings. Some are getting round any legal restraints by giving beer away but you make a donation. Some are moaning about it while others give it the thumbs-up, it's a very polarised society we live...

London is doing much better than it did because basically those most likely to have caught covid have and now it's on it's way out. I well remember the Asian flu back in the sixties, I caught it but my parents didn't although we all lived together in the same house, it came it went. I believe...

Ever since the Tories came to power in the UK they've blamed Labour for everything in the past. Ok many would say quite right too, but still every little thing ? It'll be interesting to see who they blame for the covid rall's up, my guess is the scientist's as they [government] keep saying all...

It's inhalation that's the problem though. Even one of the safest disinfectants (Dettol) made up of Chloroxylenol can cause acute respiratory problems if droplets are inhaled.
