That's because 600 existing NHS employees have been redeployed onto contact tracing.
Using existing employees avoids much of the required, time consuming, pre-employment checking.
The Scottish Government target is to have 2000 people involved in contact tracing by the end of May.
It's non-sequitur in this thread, but Serco are amazingly something of an improvement in this supply area!
When the forces ran their own refuelling services the scale of fuel theft was enormous. In just one case where I knew it had been going on the POL sergeant had been using the unit coach loaded with jerrycans to sell petrol over a wide area of Hampshire! He was courtmartialled and received a long custodial sentence.

I think they were referring to common or garden Disinfectants, all of which are poisonous of course should you imbibe them yourself. Nothing wrong with any of them of course, just don't breath them in.
That still leaves open the real question. For example, hydrogen peroxide is an effective disinfectant. But, unlike phenolics (carbolic acid and so on), once sufficiently dilute it has very little impact. Low enough to be usable as a mouthwash.

Last week, BBC Scotland’s Disclosure programme revealed that there were multiple transmissions of coronavirus in Edinburgh on 26 and 27 February, well before the first confirmed case in the country on 1 March, but that this was not disclosed to the public.

Is this what all the levelling with the public, transparency, truthfulness, etc., actually means? Don't disclose that there were cases earlier than already acknowledged.

The government computer experts designing the tracing app have wanted to improve the system for the journalists during the daily briefing. They wanted them and us to have a much better experience when it comes to the journalists questions. Today we can all see the results of this tremendous work!!!!!!!

b) Is this a case of over-promising, especially the "by September"? Like the millions of tests Hancock ordered. (Despite words like "if".)

It's inhalation that's the problem though. Even one of the safest disinfectants (Dettol) made up of Chloroxylenol can cause acute respiratory problems if droplets are inhaled.
Obama needs to keep his gob shut. It goes against protocol to speak out, no matter how much it’s deserved. Bad form that. Obama should’ve also kept his gob shut when he came on the state visit, disgraced himself by interfering in British politics, which he should never do.

Protocol only works when observed. Obama was of course clever enough not to refer to any specific individual... Something which Trump never had the wit to do... except when he was saying those.. "people tell me that I'm the best " , comments without ever identifying the people

I think in the run up to an election where the president is behaving more to get re-elected than to save lives that a breach in protocol like that is reasonable.
In what way? I had to give up the Airsporter when air gun licensing was introduced in Scotland so I'm looking for another way to control the shitting, bird eating wee bastards.
