    Tempted, am I crazy?

Well, I've got my folder. I saw it advertised on 'tinternet and bought while under a bit of influence. I did have a brand new one in a basket of another seller but removed it and saved a few hundred. Somewhere on here I read of a chap who bought two but his other half wasn't taken with biking. I...

Why so few hub geared bikes with belts ? Looking at Kalkhoff

I decided on a GoCycle and that is only 3 speed. Then I looked at the cost of extras. £40.00 for one mudguard, so I've had a change of mind. I liked this bike in the photo.

    Tempted, am I crazy?

It's a £6000.00 bike with the upgrades and Rohloff hub. I'm sure I could fix it if my fingers would work and wasn't so lazy. But thanks for the reply.

    Tempted, am I crazy?

My super-dooper R & M Homage bike is off the road due to none functioning back brake. I chickened out of the trip to OnBike due to the virus and things and I am looking for a cheap folder. I'm tempted with MARTES Electric Folding Bike Fat Tire 20 4" with 48V 15Ah Lithium-ion battery, as seen on...

Some of you here who actually respect our planet may find this little bit of news interesting.

Why have land fill? Some authorities have a collection point and waste is incinerated and the heat drives a turbine producing electricity that goes into the grid. Land fill is like the coastal towns pumping raw sewerage into the sea. I think many operator of land fill have politicians in their...

    Help! snapped chain

I had the same problem with my Haibike and thought it a faulty chain but no one wanted to know. I bought the same make & type of chain and never had another problem with it.

Riese & Muller Homage with Rohloff E14

Riese & Muller Homage with Rohloff E14 I have just done 1,148 miles on the new bike, taken a longer than when I first had the Delite around seven years ago but I was a bit younger then. So how does it compare? A lot of improvements over the years noticeably the Bosch motor. It has much more...

It's being written but this weather slows my brain down.

    Bosch motor help advice

I had a similar problem, I thought it was because of the hot weather as it stopped on a cool day. It was because someone at R&M had greased a part they shouldn't have causing the 'cog' to come loose on the crank. This is a carbon belt drive so might be something completely different as someone...

Riese and Müller Homage GT Vario - second impressions

I too have a Homage with the GT upgrade but opted for the Rohloff geared hub, otherwise they are the same. Now have 600+ miles and will right a review at 1,000 miles. I agree with you it is a cracking bike not my first but I hope the last but who knows. You write well and make me wish I could...

    Gear shifting

I have to do this with my E14 Rohloff electronic change if I want it to be smooth. It will cut the power from the motor for a fraction of a second during a change but under full effort it isnt pleasant. Do it right no matter what gears you have.

Broken spokes on such a new ebike

So far, I have never had any spoke problems with any of my ebikes. The Delite did well over 14,000 miles and I am 13 stone plus. Thats more than I can say for the previous and cheaper bikes, I suppose you get what you pay for.

Thinking now is it all worth while ?

I chose a 'step thru' due to me suffering the effects of old age' It is as strong as the traditional bike, has 14 speed hub gears and is an absolute joy to ride. It is also streets ahead of its predecessor and that was very good. It just cost a lot but worth it to me.
