Aldi have some decent bikes in that would make for good conversions

Many years ago, when I returned to biking, I to was taken with an Aldi bike. It looked better than it was, most troublesome, so I had a refund and bought a Gary Fischer. At twice the price but I ran that for years, and it's still going by the guy I sold it to.

    Not used for three months

Just as a matter of interest, an Aldi garden tool battery ran its self down within three months and refused to charge. YouTube to the rescue, the charger it seems doesn't see enough voltage and thinks the battery is dead. All I had to do was put a bit of charge into the battery via another bit...

    Bosch motors & batteries

I'm on my fifth ebike with Bosch motors and so far, touch wood, no motor problems. I did manage to half knacker a Nyon unit during an upgrade to the soft ware, so I don't do the upgrades any more.

    Riese and Muller Bikes

I'm on my third R&M bike, all very comfortable to ride. Just a bit pricey but I can afford it. Find a dealer who will allow a good ride not just round a car park.

    Review Gocycle (G3+)

A good review and it pleases me I made the right decision in not getting one. I still lust after it but don't think it would be suitable in my far from flat riding conditions. Then there's wiping it down after getting rained on, it's more work than having a horse.

    Software updates.

I upgraded the Bosch Nyon and knackered it, out of guaranty. Bosch said I need a replacement I had to pay for. So be careful.

How effective is "slime" at preventing punctures?

Of course yesterday I had a puncture two miles from home. I inflated with a CO2 gas thing, it got me home and is still inflated this morning. Not that it's got the full amount Slime in it, but that's another story.

How effective is "slime" at preventing punctures?

Not since Mr Dunlop did his thing.

How effective is "slime" at preventing punctures?

I’m a firm believer in Slime, checking an old inner tube, the small black dots show the number of repairs it’s done without me knowing. Not infallible though, a blow out of a front tyre shows how messy it can be. I have used it to repair wheelbarrow punctures, much easier than trying to...

Schwalbe Big Ben, Performence and Slime.

I had a rear puncture on my Homage and seeing the problem Martin had at OnBike due to the tension of the belt I mended the puncture with Slime. A few weeks later down it went, my CS gas cylinder was empty and the pump failed. I got picked up in a van, back home I reinflated the tyre, and it's...

how drivers see you based on the clothes you wear.

Isn't camouflage a greeny colour? I'm reminded of the Bernard Manning joke of wearing a white hat, white coat and trousers and on a white bike. Got knock down by a snow plough.

SIMON Cowell is considering a £10million legal action against the manufacturers of the electric bike on which he crashed and broke his back.

He doesn't need £10.000,000.00, I bet its greedy lawyers putting it to him, so they can get their cut.

Don't electric cars have a much shorter range in the cold?

    Best ebike for short female

I'm very happy with my Tern Vektron and it copes with the steep hills I ride around here. It adjusts to suit most riders but may now be in short supply. See https://www.ternbicycles.com/bikes/472/vektron
